![]() Coleman Queen-Sized Quickbed with 4D Pump and Wrap 'N' Roll Storage By: Coleman Average Rating: 3.5 Total Reviews: 33 More Information Excellent product for the money I bought several of these a couple of years ago for my kids big sleep-over party (paid almost twice what Amazon is charging--rats!). We use them when guests sleep over and when we go camping. They are easily stored (they roll up). They still hold air very well after these couple of years. The pumps fill and remove air in about 5 minutes or so (thats fast enough for me). When fully inflated they can be quite firm. The two things I learned about air matrices is (1) if two people have to share one bed, one persons movements can effect the other person; (2) if the air in the house/ tent is cold, the air in the bed tends to get cold too, so you need to dress warmly. Overall, this is a great price for a product that held up well for me, and is convenient to use and store. Comfy Brought this replace the camping pads for the wife and kids. Used on our last car camping trip. Worked like a dream, easy to inflate and easy to put away. Good price, free shipping, no tax, who could ask for anything more? My only beef would be that the built in carrier for the mattress does not have a spot for the inflator, so you gotta remember to bring and pack both separately. Good for an over-nighter This is a good mattress for an over-nighter at someones house or a 1-2 day camping excursion, but thats it. If you plan on using it for a longer period than that, you may experience back pain. With two adults, youll definitely loose air; kids might fair better. I also own the double high version of this matress -- and I highly recommend that version instead. Its a little bit more money, but I sleep better on that than my Cal King at home. From an economic stand point this queen-sized quickbed is a good deal, but spend the extra $30-$40 if youve got it for a much better night sleep. Comfort plus Sets up one two three and comes down the same way air stays without having to keep refilling it...easy to clean also Quick and reliable I have used this many times, and the pump is quick and it stays inflated for a while. I was using this for a weeks long trip and i only had to repump air into it once. big and comfy Ive only tested this mattress for a few days, and Im mostly happy with it. The battery operated air pump makes it easy to fill, and it deflates VERY quickly. My only concern is that it did seem to lose a little air over night... not much, but I did end up refilling it a bit at bedtime each day. But its soft and comfortable and I was very grateful to have it. The packing directions and attached "bag" are helpful too... clear, simple, and easy to use. All in all, a good purchase! Gifts for Backpackers Bride to be says these will make a wonderful addition to their camping experience. They are advid campers and had wanted these items, so I imagine they will make great use out of them and Coleman makes great products, thats all I used when I used to camp. Comfie aire bed; difficulties shipping I have this same airbed at our cabin and its comfortable and hardly ever needs to have air added to it! So, I bought another for a camping trip I was taking and had it shipped to a home near the campout. The air bed didnt arrive when UPS said it did on their computer tracking (a day later than expected and the day before my campout!), so I called them and they said that Amazon does their own tracking on lost items. After searching hard to find a contact number on Amazon web site, I finally saw only an email address. The customer service person responding was great, however, and sent another bed out right out. Unfortunately, it didnt arrive until after the campout, so camping was pretty uncomfortable. However, weve used the bed fo company since them, and theyve appreciate its comfort. Great value I needed to add a little air each night before bed, but with temperatures going up & down thru the day the loss of air was very minimal. Great VALUE, the pump that comes with it is just fine bigger pump is not necessary. Easy to put up, & take down & put away. great! Super comfy, holds air well, and easy to use! Ive used it quite a few times now and its already paid for itself, and I know I will use it again often. I live in a small apartment in NYC and this is a lifesaver when overnight guests stop by! you get what you pay for What a disappointment. I sent this bed to my daughters house so that I would have something to sleep on when I visit. It is very thin and the pump is flimsy. The mattress does not pump up fully, I cannot determine if that is because of the pump or the mattress. During the night, unless you are a slight, skinny person, if you turn over you will find that parts of your body touch the floor. This definitely would not be comfortable for two people. Also, getting up in the morning is difficult because you are so close to the floor. A young person may have no trouble but anyone over 40 will find it to be a challenge unless you are an olympic gymnast. I used this for three nights and saved the price of a hotel room. In that respect I got my moneys worth but I will not use it again. Spend a little more money and get a thicker mattress. Easy to set up, more comfortable than previous models I purchased this air mattress kit a few weeks ago, and Im very happy with it. The chambered design provides a sturdy sleep surface that is much firmer than the old-style tube mattresses. With the older models, even after filling the mattress completely, one could put a knee down in the middle of it and feel the hard ground beneath. Coleman seems to have alleviated this with this newer model -- when its pumped up, its an actual firm mattress. The battery-powered pump that comes with it seems dinky, being not much bigger than the four D cell batteries that are required to operate it, but it fills the entire mattress in less than a minute. If youve ever stood around stomping on one of those manual foot pumps for fifteen minutes, youll really appreciate this little pump. The lock valve works well when the pump is removed, too. This gives the user a chance to actually screw the cap on, instead of fumbling around trying to screw it in while the bed deflates. Storage is easy. With its built-in sling bag and simple directions, just deflate, fold, role, and tie. Ta-da! Done, and it takes up about as much room as a small laptop computer bag. A good, comfortable air mattress for those who are a little past the age where a quarter inch of foam will suffice. bw 4/5 21 July 08 buyer beware Coleman does not stand behind this product. Got this as a gift and used it three times. Started to leak and called for warrenty. They said since I dont have a receipt I cant collect on the one year warrenty. I understood that. However the warrenty starts when the product is manufactured not when purchased. So be aware. Coleman Queen-sized Quickbed Love this bed! Very quick to inflate/deflate. And very comfortable. I can see we will get plenty of use for this bed. Highly recommended. Nice bed for the price Relatively comfortable. Stayed inflated 3 nights in a row. Easy set up and take down. Bed isn't firm & loses air easily This mattress doesnt pump up to be very firm - after a minute or so, the battery operated pump gets really loud and seems to lack the strenght to pump enough air into the mattress for it to be more than medium-soft. The first time I used this is deflated quite a bit overnight. Im not at all impressed with the quality and plan to return mine. Works in a pinch This is a nice, inexpensive solution when you have excess guests and need an extra bed. The pump isnt quite strong enough to inflate it so that the mattress is firm, and it requires 4 D batteries (sold separately). As is, with two adults on the somewhat under-inflated mattress, it can be a little wobbly if you get too close to the edge. The 4D pump does a nice job of deflating it when its time to put it away. Rolls up nicely into an attached case with ties for storage. 3 stars because of comfort & pump strength. I would imagine that the plug-in version of the pump might have the power to inflate the mattress better. Deflates too quickly Ive had 3 Coleman air beds. Theyve all leaked so quickly, I would assume there was a hole and bought new ones. I fill it at night for 1-2 guests, and then by morning, theyre pretty much sleeping on the floor. The fabric is fine and it inflates at a good time. The bed is too big to fold into the black "bag" completely (like the way it comes when you first buy it). Overall, Im pretty disappointed because it doesnt keep air. superior comfort. easy storage. not such a great pump I purchased the queen sized model and it has been excellent for both my wife and I. The quick roll-up feature is great for packing and storing away. You will notice little difference in comfort from a good mattress to this inflatable version. As with all air mattresses, they will eventually leak, but mine lasted for over a year. ((It could be more due to the fact that mine is resting on a very rough sisal rug every night than the strength of the mattress.)) I have no complaints other then spending tons of money on 4-d batteries to run the pump. The batteries will begin to wear down after about 7-10 inflations and then inflation takes FOREVER and you will not get the mattress fully pumped up. Otherwise, inflation goes VERY quickly, and you get a very nice, firm inflation within about 3 mins. I will buy the electric pump next time. I think that may be more economical. "Ok" purchase... I purchased this for many reasons, one being that this was an "all in one" with the pump and "wrap n roll" storage, etc... which I could not find on the shelf at the stores. This was an "ok" purchase. But I would spend more on a better bed and purchase the pump separately... just to not have to be re-filling the bed with air consistently. I sent the first one back (my friends had to wake up in the middle of the night to re-fill the bed with air) and the replacement was better, but it leaked too (but you cant hear the leak... it just goes flat... the replacement would last a day rather than needing overnight refills). Ive never been disappointed with ANYTHING Coleman prior to this purchase. I wish I could say it is better than it is, but its just "ok" for the product and the price. Probably worth paying more or checking another product line (I also thought this would be a better purchase based on other reviews... everyone else seemed to have better luck with this than I did... maybe a 3rd try would have been a charm?). Decent air-mattress for the price This product works fine. The pump is great. But like any air-mattress, it deflates after laying on it for a while. I usually just fill it up once a day and that is sufficient. So far, no problems. I am a satisfied customer. Love the roll-up case that it has built in. Good option for the price Considering the price, this is a decent option. I didnt like the pump, which comes with no batteries, and you have to go and buy those the first thing after you get the bed. Id much prefer a good hand pump and no such fuss. Good bed and good pump Easy to use. I was actually surprised by how fast the pump inflates and deflates it. The only bad thing though is that you always need to have extra D batteries for the pump. I havent used the bed a lot so I cant talk about its durability, but its comfy. I think for the price, you cant beat this one. i love this bed when my waterbed heater broke about 2 years ago i couldnt afford a new one so i bought a cheap air bed. it developed a hole i couldnt find and lost air very quickly. since i needed a new bed i checked prices and reviews on all of them. this bed got rave reviews from the people who had one so i bought it. it was affordable. i sleep on it every night and its amazingly comfortable. the suede top keeps me warm on cold nights. i had a minor problem filling it. the double lock valve leaked a lot of air when i pulled the pump out so i tried something new and it worked. i just push in the first part of the valve with the pump and then close the top. no air leakage. i did have to add air after the first few nights but thats expected. i sleep on it and so do my cats. it does not lose air and its so comfortable i can sleep all night. definitely worth the money. i love this bed when my waterbed heater broke about 2 years ago i couldnt afford a new one so i bought a cheap air bed. it developed a hole i couldnt find and lost air very quickly. since i needed a new bed i checked prices and reviews on all of them. this bed got rave reviews from the people who had one so i bought it. it was affordable. i sleep on it every night and its amazingly comfortable. the suede top keeps me warm on cold nights. i had a minor problem filling it. the double lock valve leaked a lot of air when i pulled the pump out so i tried something new and it worked. i just push in the first part of the valve with the pump and then close the top. no air leakage. i did have to add air after the first few nights but thats expected. i sleep on it and so do my cats. it does not lose air and its so comfortable i can sleep all night. definitely worth the money. Why Amazon gives unprecise delivery estimated dates? When I added this item to my cart and placed my order, I chose the "standard shipping" option, 3-5 days. When I paid, it still said 3-5 days. A second later, I checked my order status, and it said 5-7 days. This is not the first time it happens to me with an Amazon order, why is that ? Great Airbed I bought this air bed to use when I was moving and didnt have my regular bed to use. Its supportive and provides a good surface to put sheets on. For the money and quality you cant go wrong. Great Airbed I bought this air bed to use when I was moving and didnt have my regular bed to use. Its supportive and provides a good surface to put sheets on. For the money and quality you cant go wrong. Very Cold and Uncomfortable Fast inflator. It states for indoor/outdoor use, but it was very cold to sleep on. We even used insulation. We would have been warmer on the ground. And we got the queen so we both could sleep, but if one person moves or rolls over, it almost bounces the other one off. We tried different levels of inflation and insulating the mattress, but it was just not a good fit for outdoor camping. Good quality It is really as comfortable as a regular bed. I liked but it is extra cold and i had to buy a pad. Good buy for the money This inflatable bed suited our needs very well. We were flying to visit family who did not have enough beds. We had this bed shipped direct to their location. The cost was very reasonable and was easier than carrying the bed as luggage. Set up was easy though the instructions were not well detailed. My two kids slept on it for a week and said it was comfy but cold. A blanket layered under the bottom sheet solved this problem. The bed held its inflation for the week despite two kids flopping down on it. It rolls up and has self ties so we could easily carry it back on the plane. Very comfortable and a great nights rest Very comfortable and a great nights rest for those who find they cant sleep on the hard ground anymore. Only drawback would be the pump that came with it. Didnt seem to be designed for the mattress and you have to line up the nozzle and pump for it to work. I would have expected a tighter fit. But it worked and I look forward to using it more in the future. I got it after having a problem with another brand that did not thave the double air lock. I have never had a problem with deflation while I was using it. I recently had a change in my marital status and in my "bedding" and I am now using this air mattress every night, and find it as comfortable as a regular bed. I am glad I made this purchase. A Very Uncomfortable Sleep I was excited to use this mattress for the first time. It was easy to inflate and use. It was not comfortable at all, especially if more than one person uses it. If you move, the other person bounces up and down like on a waterbed. Midway through the night half the air had leaked out somehow (even using the double lock valve) and I was laying on the ground. Despite numerous attempts to fix the problem, it never worked correctly. Avoid this air mattress! Almost as comfortable as my bed by: bixodoido On: 2003-09-17 When Im going on a family camping trip where there is no packing involved and all I have to do is set up the tent and gear, I always take along this Coleman flocked Queen size bed for my wife and I. It is pretty easy to inflate (especially with the Quickpump), and is so comfortable I sometimes almost forget Im sleeping on the ground. We also use this mattress a lot at home when we have lots of company and dont have enough beds to go around. My one complaint with this bed, and one which I have heard others share, is that it is not big enough. It is supposed to be a queen size bed, but it just doesnt seem as large as our queen size bed at home. Aside from this minor complaint, however, the Coleman flocked mattress has served me well. In fact, I slept on one for the first month I was away from home at college, and was still satisfied with its comfort after sleeping on it for over four weeks. |
