![]() Mr Heater 9,000 BTU 12-Foot Propane Hose Assembly #F273702 By: Mr. Heater Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 10 More Information Excellent Value~~ Fast service and shipment; good quality hose and connections! Makes it possible to use the small, portable Mr. Heater (with safety cut-off) inside during a power outage, while keeping the propane tank outside. Use Large Propane Tank with Buddy Heater Bought it as a backup to use the grill tank with the space heater during a power outage havent had to use it and hope I never do but it should do the trick. It's a hose! Just the thing to hook up "some of that" with "one of those". And its exactly 12 feet long. Get one! Good quality Running a 12 hose for propane at the camp site made me nervous. However, this is a good quality thick hose with good solid attached brass fittings. I dont worry about people stepping on the hose or tripping on them and pulling the hose out of the fittings. The plastic thumb wheel to assist screwing the hose into the cylinder seems like an afterthought and keeps slipping off. Be nice to see them redesign that to a more permanent solution. P.O.L. Tank Connector will fit the newwe ACME valves. The part number on the package is F273702. It has the P.O.L. style connector for the LP tank. At first glance you will think that it will not work on the newer ACME style LP tank connectors. However, I called Mr. Heater and they showed me how the newer ACME style connectors do still have an internal female thread that will work perfectly with this hose. Please see this link for more information. [...] P.O.L. Tank Connector will fit the newwe ACME valves. The part number on the package is F273702. It has the P.O.L. style connector for the LP tank. Excellent addition to the Mr. Heater unit. Hose and heater do not work . In December 2004 I purchased a Mr Heater MH18B Portable Heater and this hose to connect to a propane storage conatainer. . The hose inserts into the tank and the heater smoothly. But no propane flows from the tank to the heater. I have been unable to get even the pilot flame to light ... no gas flow through to the heating element . A wasted $150 .... not a very happy or satisfied customer . Excellent add on for Mr. Heater I bought two of these hoses to attach to two 20lb propane tanks. Attaching to 20lb propane tanks is a huge savings over using the individual 1 quart propane cyclinders. Hoses work very well. The only thing to remember when attaching the hose to 20lb propane tanks is that the couplings are left hand threaded (i.e. you must turn to the left to tighten). Almost a required upgrade I bought this hose because I wanted to maximize the safety, usefulness and economy of the propane Portable Buddy heater by Mr Heater. You cant go wrong buying this hose! 1. It allows the use of a larger LP tank (I have a 20 lb cylinder). I am certain the savings from buying LP fuel in bulk will pay for the hose. 2. You can locate the bulk tank a good distance away from the lit heater. I use the heater primarily in my garage, and with the hose I can put the heater up on a shelf or on the workbench, off the floor, and still have the bulk tank in a convenient and safe spot. 3. The hose can be used with any propane appliance that uses disposable propane cylinders. Heres an essential safety tip when using this hose: be sure to shut/close the valve on the bulk tank BEFORE you remove the hose from the tank. Its possible to remove the hose end from the bulk tank without closing the tank valve and you will quickly find out that liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is another name for stinky, oily mess when it comes squirting out of the valve as Ive done. Definately a needed add on.. If you are buying the Mr. Buddy Heater, this hose (or the 5 model) are definately needed. By using the larger (20lb or bigger) tanks you have many more hours of operation without having to change the disposable tanks. This hose will also allow you to use bulk tanks with any propane appliance that accepts the disposable tanks (stoves, lantern, etc.). Definately a needed add on..
