Great cadence, disliked the background drums     On: 2008-09-19

As a former Marine, I endorse this motivating, dedicating, memory making album from #1 to #34. Brings back so many memories. This album motivates me to keep running strong! "1 mile, no way. 2 mile, no sweat. 3 mile, getting there. 4 mile, ooh rah! 5 mile, oh yeah!! PAIN! In my side - I dont care, I like it there..." LOL

Only aspect I dont care for is the beat in the background - some synthesizer or something running drums to keep the beat or something. NOT needed! The Marines do JUST FINE running the cadence and keeping time.

OOH RAH, Semper fidelis!
USMC Run Cadence Vol 2     On: 2008-06-09

This is a great CD to have in your MP3 collection for running. Was at PI in 1994 - 1st Bt. D Co. (Plt 1161) and this is the real deal. I have all 3 volumes; all are great! I personally like this volume best.
Time travel for an Ex-Marine     On: 2008-01-24

Ive been out of the Corps for 23 years and I havent run a mile since my tour ended. I quickly learned in the Corps that running in formation, and while singing cadence, was much, much easier than doing it on my own.

After 23 years, I finally decided it was time I did a little bit of running. I bought this CD, ripped it to MP3, put it on my iPod, stepped outside my door and did a 3.5 mile run. I only stopped because I arrived home, not because I was tired. This stuff is like magic.

I dont know if it will have the same effect on everyone that it has on people who were actually in the Marine Corps, but for me, it was like a time machine that brought me back to 1985.
a good bit of kit     On: 2007-08-18

Great     On: 2007-06-01

Its a very good album of cadence. Though, tracks 15-19 are incorrectly titled.

Get the other albums to complete your cadence needs. They total 87 tracks. Its very nice for people who want to learn a few new cadence. Sure, people may think youre a bit off if you listen to it in your car on an 8 hour drive and know all the words, but hey.
Not just for Jarheads     On: 2007-02-12

On active duty, I could run long distances calling cadences to control speed and breathing. I purchased this CD along w/#1 for over an hour of cadences on my Ipod. Some of the cadences are tame, some of the callers are weak, but the majority of them bring back mostly good memories, and help the time pass on the treadmill. These are running at about an 8 minute pace, you can run faster if you like (so far not an issue for this former Marine!)
Up in the morning with the rising sun...     On: 2007-01-19

This CD brings back memories that help me to slip the bonds of the here and now, enabling a spirited run. Even after a run, the continued cadence makes for a motivational cool down. The rhythm and words bring me back to my time in the land that God forgot.
Motivation     On: 2002-11-14

Need motivation to get off your butts and run. Here it is. As you sing cadence along with The Marines, you will forget about the pain of the run and do what you need to do.
