Ive been using it for 3 years now.... and it has shown no wear. The hole for the headphones is ingenius! I also love the many pockets it has.. especially the back pocket on the inside... its been great for my smaller books. You cant get a better backpack for the money! Just about everything I wanted in a backpack for my new laptop by: rmpalmer On: 2007-12-22 Very sturdy backpack. Holds laptop, all gear with it, files and books. Very nice compartments in all sections of the backpack. Only change I would make would be to add more padding to the laptop compartment and make sure it was waterproof. I carry a large plastic bag to put the laptop in just in case of heavy rain. Im fortunate that I only carry the laptop from car to office or home so I cant comment how comfortable it is for extended periods. Nice selection of colors bad, bad, bad  On: 2007-12-22Bad, bad, bad, I ordered a backpack with free shipping and checked out through paypal. After a week I was tolded that the backpack was unavailable. Why would it take a week to inform someone that it is unavailable? So we ordered a different one with a 25 % additional discount coupon they offered us. Delivery took a week. We were still being charged on our paypal account for the first bag and thier customer service department told us that if you pay with credit card they dont take the money out of your account until they ship the bag but since it was paypal they took the money out of our account before they shipped and that this problem was between us and paypal. So now we have to go through the claim process with paypal. Will never buy anything from this store again. Great backpack! On: 2007-12-20I bought this bag a few years ago, since then, I have used it extensively with 4 different laptops. In the time of ownership, the main pocket zipper broke. I promptly emailed eBags and in about 2 weeks, they sent me a new one! I didnt even send have to send the busted one back to them. What customer service!! Now, onto the bag itself...I use it daily for work and have used it on many vacations as I take my 15 MacBook Pro with me everywhere. It is very durable, has enough pockets to hold all the crap I carry with it (at times it feels like an oversized man bag with all the stuff I put in it). It holds my MB Pro just fine, along with a textbook or two and many folders. The padding seems to keep it safe and secure and the straps are comfy, too. In the outside pockets, I keep my glasses and a water bottle. The only thing missing is an umbrella strap to bring in case of rain ;) Plus there is a special pocket for some DVD/CDs, in the great middle zippered pocket where you can also store store pens, pencils, business cards and more. There is a mesh pocket inside to store whatever you need to see quickly and a strap to hold keys and what not. Overall, it is has been a great purchase and would definitely buy an eBag again, in a heartbeat. Great compact bag On: 2007-11-17I have this bag for two weeks now and it is great for daily use. It fits a laptop and a few extra items like books and a charger. It has only one big compartment to keep things. If you are looking for keeping a lot of items this bag is not for you. Slow delivery. good organization, lasted 3 years On: 2007-01-27i had one of these bags from ebags and it lasted for almost 3 years until the zippers started breaking off. the back strap had started breaking off earlier but didnt affect the use of the backpack. my usually load was a 4-lb laptop and its basic accessories, and another 4 lb of books and papers, etc. i loved the organization of the bag -- many pockets and compartments for different things. but i wouldnt rate it as the most sturdy bag. All good On: 2007-01-06The backpack is fine if you have a very small or portable notebook, if you own a medium or large size notebook, do not think for a second the backpack will be comfortable or anything, as long as you have a small or minimum size notebook the backpack is great. Holds 2 Laptops and more! On: 2006-10-03I recently took a business trip overseas with two laptops and this bag eased the pain. I was able to fit a wide screen Dell D800, an IBM Thinkpad, and all the required accesories with room to spare. Not only did the backpack hold all the gadgets, it is a must for distributing the load. The back does all of this while providing ample protection for the delicate equipment. Very good bag On: 2006-09-17Ive been using the backback for about a month now and its working out great. Im using it on a daily basis to take with me to school and work. No real major complaints about the bag. I wouldnt mind the main compartment and possibly the front one as well to be a little larger. Ive found it neccessary to leave the books I wont need for the class that day at home because its a little tight, but still doable if need be if Ive got my laptop, the power brick, 3 text books, notebook and binder in the main compartment. I can fit a wireless mouse, my sunglasses case (its rather large) and right now, I believe I have a small cable tester in there as well with still plenty of room for an mp3 player-in the cd pouch and various other odds and ends. The removable cd case is an alright idea, but doesnt really add anything to the bag. Ive used it, but just because I couldnt find the one I had already and needed to get going. Overall, an excellent bag for the price. Feels very strudy and well made. I havent torn it up yet, then again-its only been a month of everyday use. It doesnt get the 5 just because I expected it to be just a little bit larger, but Im not complaining-much. Sturdy, well-designed and inexpensive On: 2006-04-11This bag is perfect for what I need: I am a graduate student. My typical load consists of: a 6lb laptop with all the accessories. Plus several books, notepads and printouts. The bag has enough room for all the stuff abovementioned but is tightly constructed so with even 20 lbs on my back, it doesnt swing left and right when I walk. It also has the right combination of padding and pockets. The only feature I wished for was the ability to stand on its own under all load conditions (when load is too light or too heavy, you have to lean it against something). Overall, highly recommended. Overall, highly recommended. everything I'd hoped for On: 2006-03-28I bought this bag after long searches for a good backpack to lug to England with me that would fit my laptop and my other electronic gadgets. Id planned on using it only on my trip, but after one time carrying it to class, I havent stopped using it! This bag can hold quite a big laptop. Its padded for the laptops protection, but not so much that it makes the bag super-heavy. I have back-to-back classes, and I can fit all of my books in it plus my laptop. Theres a pocket in the main compartment perfect for my cables, too. The large front pocket is divided into several smaller ones and comes with a CD case thats hooked on to a clip. The CD pouch is also padded to protect your CD player. There are pockets for pens and pencils, an ID tag, and a mesh pocket for money or other stuff. Theres a large pocket in front of this pocket that I keep my cellphone, pens, pencils, highlighters, gum, and keys in. Two side pockets (one that holds a water bottle) make this backpack perfect for my trip and perfect for school. The shoulder straps are also padded for maximum comfort. This is definitely a great backpack, and Ill be carrying it probably until I finish college and on whatever trips I go on. Awesome On: 2005-09-29I go to college and use this bag on a daily basis. It carries my laptop all around campus, along with books, a big water bottle, and anything else I need. It is absolutely perfect. Best Laptop backpack ever On: 2005-08-25I have used this backpack for over 1.5 years of daily rough use including several trips and its still going strong. Apart from lugging a very heavy laptop (~8 pounds) I regularly stuff it with my textbooks (it can easily fit 2 fat and 2 regular textbooks still leaving space in the front two compartments for my CD player, a cd case, stationery, a water bottle and more. The straps are padded and very comfortable even when you are carrying lots of stuff. Once this backpack has run its life I plan on buying the exact same one again. Laptop is well protected in this backpack and you can walk around all day without it feeling heavy (as is the case with shoulder bags) The backpack also allows you to carry many more items. Ive walked around hours without this backpack bothering me. Its very comfortable. |
