![]() Spider-Man Ready Bed Inflatable Sleeping Bag By: SpinMaster Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 24 More Information Great for sleep-overs I bought this item for the kid that I babysit for when he comes over to my house. This is his bed. It is great. He has a bed and blanket all set to go for when he comes over and its so easy. He finds it very comfortable and fun to sleep in. It is also great for kids who have trouble with wetting the bed. I would recommend this to anyone who has grandchildren come and visit or even children who like to go camping. Its great for just about anything you can think up. Great for going to Grandma's house We bought a Spiderman ReadyBed for our son when he was a toddler for our trips to Grandmas house. We also bought girly designed ones (Hello Kitty and Barbie) for his two sisters. All three kids thought they were very special and enjoyed sleeping in them. We loved its portability, the kid-friendly size and patterns, durability and stow-ability. We have since upgraded and have purchased three tween-sized versions. We did have problems with one of the air mattresses not staying inflated, but after a call to their customer service (very courteous and efficient) a new air mattress was received promptly. I am glad to have found a company that makes great products and doesnt hesitate to resolve problems. I highly recommend these. Good for lounging, not sleeping! My son is 4 years old, of average height and weight. He fits fine on the bed and under the covers, but the bed is only 26 inches wide and he constantly falls off of it during the night. It is not big enough for him to roll over. It would be a better product if it were about a foot wider. The "chair" does not stay assembled as it appears on the ad either, the child has to sit on it to make it stay that way, there is no velcro or snap to hold it in position. Fun for kids My son enjoys the ease of dragging it from room to room and laying on it or sitting on it however the mood strikes him. Great for travel We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old son. He loved it the minute we took it out of the box. He is an average size toddler and fits very easily into the bed with it zipped all the way up. He loves to zip himself in and snuggle up for the night. It is a breeze to inflate and just as easy to deflate. Fits easily into the bag provided also. Our bag ripped very easily though as it was tossed around but it will be easy enough to find another bag to fit this in. Would recommend for anyone who travels with a toddler. Spiderman Bed Review The quality is great. The problem is that the bed is too narrow for the child to sleep in. Neither of my 2 year old grandsons can sleep in it comfortably. Because the mattress is inflated and the cover zips up, they do not like the tightness and are usually found sleeping on the floor. It's Cool My son received this for his 2nd birthday from his aunt and loves it. He always says its cool. He lays on it in the living room to watch the Wiggles. He likes to do frontward rolls on it. We are going to use it for nap time when I can get him out of his crib, as well as for trips away from home. It has been inflated for over a month without any problems. Spider-man ready bed is a big hit!!!! I bought this for my 3 year old because we had just moved and our furniture hadnt arrived yet. It inflated easily and he loves it. Now, weeks after our furniture has already been here, my son still uses his spidy bed in a tent and in the playroom. This was definetly a great buy!!!!! GREAT Bought this for my six year olds birthday. He LOVES it. He likes to lay in it to watch movies. Also to take to Grandmas and on vacation. Pretty average inflatable bed, too much air and its gonna be too hard. Pretty light. I definitely recommend! Child's Disappointment My 5 year old grandson got the Spiderman Readybed for Christmas. It is now March and the bed will NOT stay inflated. There seems to be something wrong with the inside of the vavle because there is no hole in the bed itself. My grandson is very disappointed so I bought a chaise pad that fits perfectly into the cover and now he is happy. Im not because I had to spend the extra money on something that should have lasted longer that 3 months. This Is Great! Definately Worth The Price! My son had just turned 4, and I got him this Spiderman ReadyBed for a Christmas present. He loves to inflate it to lay around in our living room - and sometimes in his room - to watch TV. The amazing thing is that after he helped me put it up a couple of times, he now gets it out of his closet, sets it up, and blows it up all by himself! I am giving this a 5 for the educational value, because it certainly required some hand-eye coordination and some strength and logistics to put it up all by himself, and he feels like such a big boy! We havent had it under strenuous conditions yet to see how puncture-resistant it is, but he has fallen asleep in it and it DID turn over with him.Of course hes big enough for it not to hurt him, and a kid on anything inflatable should be supervised anyway. Overall, I highly recommend it for kids about 3&1/2 on up and at least 35 pounds or so. Smaller than that would enjoy it as well, but Id recommend that they were constantly monitored with it(I dont think it would hurt them, but scare them). I like that the cover comes off and the whole thing is washable, and the part thats next to your child is very soft and cozy. Im now planning to buy one for my 5 year old niece for trips to her grandmas and sleepovers at her friends houses. My ONLY complaint is that even though it has ended up being worth the monay, I was initially hesitant about spending that much on it (you can catch twin-sized inflatable mattresses on sale at WalMart for less than $15). If the manufacturer would lower the price to $20 or less, I can almost promise them that they would sell enough to make up the difference. That said, it is still a great product, just a little too expensive to give one to every kid you know. UPDATE: I now lower it to a 2 1/2 stars. It is now July of 2006 and it has finally started to leak air. It is a slow leak, so I assume that it has a small hole in it or something. But I think that it still was worth the price considering it lasted for a while. However, it was not used often, so decide for yourself... Great Bed I bought this bed for my two year old. When he saw it, he immediaely crawled on it and asked me "Daddy is this mine?" This was the first time I ever got him to voluntarily lay down and take a nap. I do recommend buying a separate electric pump, however. Great Little Bed! I purchased this bed a couple months ago for my 3 year old son. It finally developed a small pin hole in the mattress. I contacted readybed today and they are sending a replacement free of charge. They said it may take up to 2 months to receive my replacement because they are on backorder. Was a little disappointed about that...but was impressed with the customer service dept. THey returned my call with-in five minutes of leaving a message and were very polite and helpful. I have washed the sleeping bag part, turned inside out (soft side turned inside), a few times now on delicate and air dried it. It has kept its newness look and shape so far. Would buy from this company again! Great Little Bed! I purchased this bed a couple months ago for my 3 year old son. It finally developed a small pin hole in the mattress. My son loves it, but it seems to deflate slowly..... by: Anonymous On: 2004-08-17 My son loves to sleep in this bed, but it seems to mysteriously deflate occasionally, even after having it only a few days. We just pump it back up, but it makes me wonder if it is sturdy enough for constant use. Great Investment! by: Anonymous On: 2004-07-30 This has to be the best item of bedding that I have purchased for my 6 year old son. We cant leave home without it! Great for sleep-overs at home or away. The built-in pillow is a great feature as well. My son now has a new tag-a-long that we dont mind packing. Thanks so much for this wonderful product! Could you make one for me? Ready Bed I have read the reviews one the ready bed, before I purchased one. I think it is a great item!!!! My 3 year old loves it. Im going to purchase one for my 8 Year old also. I do not understand why one women put that her 4 Year old could have died because of this bed flipping on him, it is so light that my 3 year old daughter can move it around and pick it up. I do not think that a child could really smoother to death!!! (...) Manufacturer Worlds Apart Limited My 3 children ages, 3, 5, & 7, all LOVE the bed. We have a "Hello Kitty", "Spider-Man", and a "Princess". They have got so much use out of them. I rated the educational value at 5 because the kids will get into the beds and listen while I read a book, instead of sleeping on the bunkbeds and watching TV. Of course 2 of them got holes in them. I went online and found the number for the company and they are sending me 2 FREE mattress. (The covers have been washed frequently and are in perfect condition) I dont even have to pay shipping. As much as my kids have used the beds, I knew they would eventually get a hole in them. They are for SMALL CHILDREN!!!!! Kids ALWAYS have small sharp items on the floor, such as a necklace, play ring, etc., but I cannot believe I am getting the mattress for free. I do not know if I can put this on here, but I am going to try because I saw ALOT of bad reviews. (...) My Nephew Loves It! by: Anonymous On: 2004-04-18 Its easy to assemble and inflate. The minute it was ready my nephew decided to take a nap with "Teddy". A true must for all tiny tot Spiderman fans! Grandkids love it... My grandsons ages 3,4,& 5 adore their ready bed...I bought one for my house when one come to sleep over, which was a BIG mistake. I had to buy two more so they each had one. They watch movies laying on them and we are taking them on our family vacation to yellowstone this summer...Best thing for getting kids to bed. They love them. Never had a problem with them flipping over, but I am always sleeping in the same room with them. Great idea, and my older grandkids ( 9&10) wished they had them for their age.. Fun Easy Comfort by: Anonymous On: 2004-03-24 My mother purchased two of these bags for my boys, 2 and 7. I cant tell you how much they love them. There warm, comfortable, blow up in 15 seconds and deflate just as fast when you open the release caps preasure seal. The boys jump on them. My oldest has been sleeping on it almost every night, just because its really that comfortable. Deflate it and stick in the bag with pump and store away in seconds. Youve got to have it!!! A winner! by: Anonymous On: 2004-01-30 My 5 year old nephew was so excited to receive this, he insisted on taking a nap in it that afternoon, and he said he wanted to sleep in it that night, too, even though he just got bunk beds that he loves. His 2-1/2 year old brother enjoyed helping to inflate it. Such a clever item! Safely used, this bed gets 5 STARS!!! I read the review about the boy who flipped the bed, and yes it is concerning. I must say, however, that I personally would not let my 3 year old sleep on anything inflatable without some sort of supervision. I mainly bought this bed to use camping and when visiting my parents who live out of town. Under both circumstances, he will be sleeping right next to the airbed his father and I use. Right now, he occassionally uses it at night to lay and watch a video before bed. My son ADORES his Ready Bed, and I am thrilled that Santa brought it for him. We use the electric pump that came with our other airbed and its up in less than 30 seconds. The one-way valve is absolutly incredible as you arent fumbling with the cap before all the air escapes... you can take your time and ALL of the air stays in! Im in awe and wonder why ALL airbeds dont come with this feature!?! The oversized carry case allows you to easily put the bed back in it. Deflating is almost as easy as inflating. We just push the one way valve and roll it like a sleeping bed and in about a minute VOILA! the air is out. Obviously to each their own, but I feel under the circumstances for which it will be used, this item is still a Godsend for us... MY only complaint would be that we looked EVERYWHERE for the Spiderman bed only to find it wasnt yet available in the U.S., so we had to settle for Bob the Builder. Happy mother Its taken my husband and me a long time to our 3 year (almost 4)to sleep in his own bed. My mother-in-law gave this to my son, and he loves it. It got him to sleep in his own room. Granted its not in the bed, but hes in his own room and night in ours. Thank-you ready bed. DO NOT BUY THIS BED FOR YOUR 4 YEAR OLD. THIS IS A DANGEROUS ITEM. I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY FOUR YEAR OLD AND CHECKED ON HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TO FIND THAT HE HAD COMPLETELY FLIPPED THE BED IN HIS SLEEP. HE WAS SLEEPING ON HIS STOMACH WITH THE BED ON TOP OF HIM AND SINCE HE WAS ZIPPED INTO THE BAG I DONT THINK HE COULD HAVE PUSHED IT OFF OF HIMSELF. IT REALLY FRIGHTENED ME. I AM RETURNING THIS ITEM TO THE MANUFACTURER. BEWARE OF FLIPPING. MAYBE AN OLDER CHILD WOULD BE TOO LARGE TO FLIP THE BED, BUT MY SON DID IT EVEN THOUGH HES THE RECOMMENDED TARGET AGE. SCARY. WITH THE BED ON TOP OF HIM, HE COULD HAVE SUFFOCATED. |
