The water tasted fine (if a bit chlorinated). We were all glad not to have to buy--and dispose of--endless plastic bottles of water. They work, and work well, based on our personal experience in the Rocky Mountains. On: 2008-03-28Weve used them in the Rocky Mountains...they work well. Taste much better than the iodine-based purification tablets we used as kids in Scouting units. We keep several packages in our emergency kits and food storage supplies, "just in case."
