I got the black version from a "miles" incentive... today is battery replacement time... after roughly 8-ish years. Looks like $10 replacement battery or $40 to replace it. I will try the battery first. If that doesnt do it... I will buy again. for camping, power outages and light in difficult spaces On: 2006-02-06We have owned 2 of these lanterns for over 10 years, and I am just now replacing the rechargable batteries, because they finally gave out. We keep ours plugged into the chargers when were not using them, so they will be ready at a moments notice. We have used them when camping, for extended power outages, and for when were making a repair in a dark hard to reach spot, like the furnace. We also put them out on the deck in the summer, and can turn them on from inside the house with the remotes. We have been very happy with the service we have gotten from these lanterns. |
