Excellent This bed has been very handy when we host guests. It very quickly inflates with the built-in pump. Our guests have always been impressed and it has exceeded their expectations for an inflatable guest bed! It is very comforable and queen size sheets fit it perfectly. It deflates and rolls back into its compact carrying bag easily. It does seem to lose a little air overnight--but not so much to cause problems. The material is very sturdy and we havent had any real leaks. (It also includes a leak repair patch). I would NOT recommend this as a camping bed, since it is rather large, bulky, and requires an electrical outlet to inflate/deflate. good mattress Mattress was great for a week, then began losing air but very easy to inflate so we still use -very comfortable! Very comfortable I bought this midrise airbed for my grand daughter who needed something temporary to use, she is so pleased with the comfort of this midrise airbed she is in no hurry to purchase anything else at this time. Khalia Good air mattress Bought this air mattress primarily to use for camping, replacing an Aero Bed of the same size. The Midrise inflates quickly and Ive had no problems with leakage. I like the velveteen surface, which keeps the bedding from sliding around, and the extra height of the mattress makes getting in and out a lot easier. As compared to the Aero Bed (which gave me a number of years of service before springing leaks that I finally got tired of repairing!), the only thing I like better about my old bed was the quick deflating system. Whereas the Aero Bed deflated in seconds, it takes quite a long time to deflate this bed with the pump and it is difficult to get it to deflate completely. Just seems like a lot of extra wear and tear on the pump. Otherwise, a very good product so far. does the job Product was as described. I find it needs a little more air after a couple of nights of sleep, but it inflates (and deflates) quickly and easily. A great way to be able to accommodate more company! Great bed, worth the money For the money you cant beat it. I bought this as a temp replacement for my mattress when I got bugs and needed something before I could drop a few bucks on a real bed and to make sure the bugs were gone. Great find. Very comfortable, very large(the only gripe I have with the mattress is I think it is a little too wide, almost 6 feet), then internal infating fan is great, and if you ever need to deflate it does it in a hury. Much better than any other air mattress I have slept on, and It has taken some abuse because I have still yet to purchase a proper replacement. Perfect for guests I have always heard that it is hard to find a good quality air mattress. the 66701 Midrise is perfect for guests that are staying for a short time. The automatic pump takes only seconds to fill up the mattress and about the same to deflate. Good choice This was a last minute unexpected purchase, and it turned out to be everthing that was described..and comfortable. It was filled, emptied, and folded quickly and easily. It was used for a week and I moved ..so it was used again for 10 days and although I would add air once in a while it was more than satisfactory. The price was reasonable and the shipping quick. Very satisfied. Sleeping in Semi- Comfort, With Intex by: budman3557 On: 2007-03-25 This Intex air mattress offers a larger size than most, a larger weight capacity, and a surface that is raised 19.5 inches off the floor when inflated, making it more similar to an actual bed. The queen size dimensions mean that this inflatable mattress can accommodate queen size sheets. A fitted sheet can be hooked on each corner of the mattress, followed by the addition of a comforter and pillow to make a sleeping space that almost looks like an actual bed. Sometimes, depending on how well inflated the bed is, it may not accommodate a queen size sheet perfectly. But a little more air should stretch the bed to the point that it resembles an actual queen size bed, making the sheets fit more snugly. Probably the most appealing aspect of this product is the built- in air pump and this is the main reason I selected this air mattress over others. There was no need to buy a pump or even attach a pump. This pump is part of the mattress- located just underneath the top part, where the "pillow" ridge is located. It is right there, on the edge, where it can be quickly accessed for some quick pumping action. It takes about three to four minutes to inflate the bed completely- not bad for an item this big that requires so much air to make it usable. Built in accessories are nice, but what really makes or breaks an inflatable mattress is the comfort level. And this mattress from Intex provides an acceptable level of comfort that wont leave you with back damage but also doesnt compare to a Sealy Posturpedic or Serta. When I think about the camping- style air mattresses I have used in the past, this mattress is definitely better. The fact that this mattress is made for home use and is intended for extended use as a sleeping device is the main reason for its improved comfort. Camping mattresses are made for limited use and they offer nothing more than an inflatable piece of plastic- like sleeping on an inflatable raft taken from a swimming pool. But this inflatable mattress from Intex is definitely a notch better than that, with a rippled, flocked nylon surface and firmer feel, for better comfort. One thing that is somewhat of a joke, however, is the so- called built- in "pillow" on the top. This is nothing more than a slightly elevated ridge and by no means can it take the place of an actual pillow. One quick test is all it takes for a person to realize this ridge cannot substitute for the real thing. It provides practically no head support at all. Air mattresses are prone to losing air and while the Intex Midrise Queen Size Air Mattress is meant for extended use, it still loses a little but of air each day. It is important to check the knob on the back, next to the pump, to make sure it is turned all the way to the right, to minimize air loss. But even with the knob turned properly, some air will still escape. I have used this mattress for several days at a time and I have found that I have to re- inflate every two days. It doesnt take long and the built in pump makes the task simple so Im not really bothered by this, but I can understand how some people- those who seek perfection in all of the manufactured goods they own- will consider this a flaw in the design. Overall, the Intex Midrise Queen Size Air Mattress with Built in Pump is a pretty good product that offers the convenience of instant inflation along with a comfort level that is better than most inflatable mattresses. It is no substitute for a regular mattress but it is better than most other air mattresses, offering a large surface area that sleeps two (semi) comfortably. Easiest Set Up I've Ever Seen We were expecting company to stay, and nowhere to put them. Amazon was the first place I looked for Air Mattresses. We actually bought two at the same time. I was familiar with Intex, but had never used their brand before. I was thrilled at how easy they were to set up. Then the fact that they stayed inflated for 3 days without needing additional air, that was an added bonus. After our guests left, it took my husband and I about 5 minutes to deflate, roll up and store away each mattress. I would recommend this brand to anyone needing a comfortable, convenient, reliable air mattress. Great Air Bed This was the greatest thing for company...it plugs into the wall and pumps itself up, it comes in a convenient bag for storage, I would buy another one. Such a pillow It is a real good mattress but there is an unwanted pillow incorporate on the top. That means it is difficult to sleep when you are a little bit tall with two people except when you use to sleep on the back. Neverhteless it is a Good item but you have to give heed to this detail. Air Bed Mattress I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this mattress for the price. It was nice to just have to push a button to inflate or deflate the mattress instead of having to hook up a pump to it like most air mattresses. It was not as comfortable as a regular bed, but for a temporary situation it worked just great. Reply to your request for review My son received the item on time and is very happy with the item. We would purchase from this supplier again. excellent mattress, inflates easily This makes for an excellent spare mattress if younger company comes over, its very firm and sits up high off the ground. My 8 year old son loves it when he has buddies for a sleepover. It has a built in cord compartment, and inflating fan, that exist flush to the end so you can cover it with bedding without snagging. Very comfortable on your back, and it doesnt have the bizarre ridges our previous mattress had that make you feel like you sleeping on a bunch of balloons. so, why not 5 stars? Because even though its great for my son, theres no way its long enough for a full sized adult over 6 feet tall. I"m 64" and my legs hang off at mid calf. It is no queen size I"m familiar with, unless its a pygmy queen. And, it sits SOOOOOO high and thick, no normal sheets would fit it. This is not so much of a problem because the top surface is already pretty comfy (flocked? not sure what youd call it), and it will hold a nonfitted sheet or blanket reasonably well. so, absolutely great for child/teen sleepovers or fairly short adults. The inflation took only about 3 minutes (we timed it) and it was so easy, you just turn the knob one way, plug it in, hit the button, and watch it grow. Deflation was also quick, but trying to fit it back into the provided duffle seemed beyond our capabilities. NEVER AGAIN FROM DAY ONE, THERE WAS NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THAT COMPANY EVER AGAIN. I PAID FOR A 2 DAY AIR, AND THE BED DID NOT GET TO ME UNTIL A WEEK LATER AND THEY CALL ME SAYING THAT I DID NOT PAY FOR A 2 DAY SELECT. WHEN I HAD THE RECIPT IN FRONT OF ME AND I ALSO TALKED TO A WOMAN (I DO KNOW HER NAME) AND SHE SAID I WOULD GET THE BED IN 2-3 DAYS. THEY CHARGE ME AGAIN FOR THE SHIPPING WHEN THEY MESSED UP IN THE FIRST PLACE. IF THERE WAS 0 STARS, I WOULD RATE THEM AS 0 airbed What a life saver. I recently spent the holidays traveling around new England. I took this where ever I went. Easy to blow up (but make sure to make it really really firm) and easy to deflate. Very comfortable. air mattress we took it to our trip to tahoe.. it was very comfortable, the pump works great. Great bed! A very comfortable bed. It gives you surprisingly good support while sleeping in it. The pump fills it in less than three minutes and its easy to adjust it for perfect comfort afterwards. A special plus for the possibility to empty it as fast as you fill it, by reversing the pump. Also its quiet enough not to disturb your neighbours when filling it by night. if you go for the price if you buy this product because of the price, i guess it is okay. its less expensive than the other 3-4 other brands ive seen. the bed itself is okay too. the hight is fine with me because i dont think i want it to be any higher. the inflate and deflate buttons are easy to use. just 1 negative comment, i dont like the pillow part, i can do without. do all airbeds have holes this is my second airbed the first one would deflate while you are sleeping and you wake up on the floor this one also deflates in the middle of night. If you want to buy an airbed spend alot of money and buy a quality one. nice bed with a leak problem This bed is very nice compared with typical camping air mattresses. Add a foam top and put sheets on it, and the first night you sleep on it, youd hardly know its not a "real bed." Ours started to have problems losing air through the night after a handful of times being slept upon, though, and the problem grew steadily worse until now it doesnt hold air for more than a few minutes. Its been used for approximately 20 nights over the past 2 years, and is now useless. After a couple hours lying on it, so much air leaks out that youre literally on the floor. A little net research reveals that this is a very common problem with this model; theres some fault (in the attached air pump?) that leads inexorably to a slow leak. So, if you only plan to use this bed 5 or 10 times and thats worth $50 to you, go ahead and buy it - its very comfortable at first, and the price is a lot less than youd pay for 5 or 10 nights in a hotel. If you need it to last longer, though, Id recommend looking for another air bed. nice bed with a leak problem This bed is very nice compared with typical camping air mattresses. A good option for overnight guests Overall, this bed met my expectations with just a few reservations: 1) Its not quite as high off the ground as Id hoped, but its certainly more substantial than a floor mattress, and 2) Unlike other airbeds Ive seen, this one doesnt provide a place to tuck in sheets at the foot of the bed. Again, not a real problem -- just an inconvenience. Overall, this is a supportive, comfortable bed that inflates quickly (under 3 minutes) and folds down to a surprisingly small size. For the price, its worth it. Very comfortable... These mattresses are great for unexpected guests and sleep overs with the kids. The 1 and only negative thing about this air mattress is that when you want to deflate it, it is pretty hard to do. I think some of the other mattresses come with the air pump that can suck out the air as well as putting it in. This 1 inflates with the pump in a couple of minutes, but you have to lay and squeeze for several minutes to get all of the air out. Otherwise, its a great product! very good quality for the price The pump is very quick... my only complaint is that the pump lacks a reverse feature to suck the air back out of the mattress (like i have seen on many other air mattresses), so you have the pull the plugs and lay all over the mattress to get the air out, which took me probably 10 minutes. But the pump does take about 3 minutes to inflate, and since this mattress is HUGE, thats pretty impressive. Also, it is very comfortable, with a built-in fabric top so you wont need a bottom sheet if you take this thing camping. Also has a pillow-like hump at one end, so if you forget your own pillows youll still be pretty comfortable. I think the 19.5" is measured from floor to top of that hump, because the rest of the mattress is only about 14 or 15" tall. The material its made of seems pretty thick and durable. I just wish it could run off 12vdc, but i have an inverter for my car so i can deal without that for now. In all, i am quite happy with this product. Size is wrong Ive seen this product on other web sites and noticed that the other web sites say the size is 60"x80" (instead of 64"x 82" the normal size for a queen bed.) I just thought if anyone else has a husband or partner who would appreciate having his/her feet hanging off the bed you would want to know. Im glad I found out before I bought this. I didnt see another way to get the info corrected so I just put this note here. Enjoy! |
