It keeps out dampness and wind and cold but works on milder days too. It feels great and really does a good job of keeping me warm and snug in the changing weather of Michigans Upper Peninsula. I recommend it for its toughness and good looks. it's nice and heavy On: 2008-09-28I was gonna wear it to work but I like it too much to mess it up, its heavy and warm for a hoody and it has an inside pocket. Buy it! Construction Lifer On: 2008-04-05Very Satisfied. Though it was as much as the Hooded Coat. The Coat and Hoodie together on a very cold day, No Problem. Warm jacket On: 2008-01-25I work at a warehouse and the bay doors are open when I unload a truck. So it gets very cold while I unload the trucks. So far I am still wearing it in almost February in New York. It has gotten down to about 5 and I was still warm except for my hands. No gloves. Overall great jacket. Heavy enough for bitterly cold temps with a windbreaker. On: 2007-12-19This is good for cold dry weather from about 50F - 20F if it is not too windy; this will absorb rain water so be aware, but has a great tough feel for a sweatshirt, this doesnt feel like any sweatshirt you wore in HS, this is heavy. The zipper is the weak spot in this so cold wind gets in when it is time to add more clothing. This has excellent insulation properties so when it gets cold add a good windbreaker or winter coat over this and feel comfortable in very cold temps. Excellent Quality; Speedy Service On: 2007-01-18Carhartt is a well-known design for rugged, outdoor work-type clothing, but this jacket is soft to the touch, as well as warm from the thermal insulation. I am confident I will have many years of wear from this jacket. Also, I would like to comment on the speedy delivery, eventhough it was during Christmas time, I received the jacket before expected or estimated. I highly recommend this item. On: 2007-01-10I ordered the jacket XL Tall. Surprisingly, it was too tall. I had to return and order just an XL during the height of the holiday shipping season. I received the XL jacket just fine and it fit properly. I used the online chat they have setup and it worked well. I also called on the phone and got through to live people easily. |
