Narrower than other Adidas of the same size!     On: 2007-02-21

I bought these shoes on a whim from Amazon, and was very disappointed and returned them. I normally wear size 10M from Adidas, as I do with my Metrum shoes and SuperStar IIs. Yet with these shoes, size 10M is WAY TOO SMALL, and quite painful. They were returned... If you order them, make sure you get a larger/wider size!
terrible shoes!!!     On: 2006-12-20

I got the shoes for a while and I must say it was a total disappointment! The look and heel were ok, so does the GTX XCR. However, there is a major problem: the shoes wont hold your foot! The opens for the shoes lace (the tounge) are too big so the shoes wont hold your foot intact. This is potential big problem if you really want to hike with it since your foot will just have extra fraction due to the insecure of the foot in the shoe. Hate it ever since I put it on. I have total of 3 pairs of GTX hikers now and this one is the one I regret to out money in!

Great grip, cool rugged look, comfortable enough for regular winter use as well. Was about $80 when I got it though. Might not be the best option around for $130+
Nice shoes     On: 2006-12-11

I bought these for a very good price on Amazon. They are very sturdy and keep my feet very warm in the rain. Its not just for downpours; even in situations where youre walking across a wet field it will keep your foot warm and toasty instead of cold and damp. I generally use these as my cold weather shoes even if it is dry. They have great support.
Excellent Shoe     On: 2006-12-10

I bought these a couple of months ago and thus far they are my favorite shoe. Good for running, great for standing, very stable. They did at first seem kind of tight at the very front, but thats probably for a more secure fit. If youre somewhere between sizes, Id say go with the larger one.
narrow toe     On: 2006-11-06

I have had my shoes for a couple of months now.At first they seemed a half size to small. And the toe looks more narrow than my feet. But after wearing them a while, they seem to be doing ok.The Gortex linning is also nice for puddle jumping.
Incorrect color sent..     On: 2006-09-21

Dont get me wrong these are nice high end shoes, however, I was sent an ugly red color instead of the yellow displayed on the products site. Nowhere on the products site was the (red) "Outdoor Plein Air" color shown as a choice.
Good all-year/winter running shoe at closeout pricing     On: 2006-08-21

I must admit I probably wouldnt buy a shoe this good if it wasnt 50%+ off. Ive put some miles in on a treadmill at the gym and outside on pavement. Very comfortable to run in, providing stable footing and extreme cushioning. They seem to be saving me from some of the normal knee and back pain I get running in my 4 yr old NBs. Would be great for cross country, because the treads are somewhat knobby. Not too knobby to use on the treadmill so Id have to say they are a great all around running shoe and are A+ for outdoors/x-country or winter running. The goretex weather proofing didnt make my feet too hot. Probably an overkill if you dont plan to use them for running, the knobby tread can make you trip if youre just walking, etc. I havent used them in bad weather but I would imagine they would be great for running in rain/snow/ice conditions. I purchased the size I normally wear and the fit was perfect. As tradition proves, Adidas are like New Balance in that they are a better fit for a wider foot.
It is ok for outdoor sports.     On: 2006-07-16

In general it is comfortable.
One thing need to notice is that the actual size of the adidas shoes is a little smaller than marked. So youd better try one in local store and then buy it online for cheap prices.
