A bargain     On: 2008-01-07

This bag arrived promptly and met our every expectation. The quality of construction is surprisingly good for a bag in this price range. The compression stuffsack is a nice touch. My feeling is that anyone not happy with this product should really be spending more money.
Factoring in catergories other than temp     On: 2007-11-28

Skepticism was the at the top of my list when putting a twoish-pound sleeping bag to the test in near freezing temperatures. I have always had a problem with overheating in any sleeping bag so I thought this bag would be perfect for me in any temperature.
Lafuma held up its part of the bargain claiming the 1 Kilo was a 35 degree F bag, but only in favorable humidity with no wind. I backpacked in N.C. over Spring Break where it reached mid 30s a night, but high winds cut right through my sleeping bag keeping me shivering all night. Even with the drawstring pulled tight exposing only the nose, my body froze all night for 3 straight nights. In MS, humidity is always high and even in 40 to 50 degree temp., skin sticks to the inside of the bag. If camping in high humidity, I recommend a thin sheet to line the bag.
I gave the bag 4 stars overall because it has to be one of the lightest bags I have found on the market, and it does stay warm down to the mid 30s, but only if other factors dont come into play.

Size matter     On: 2007-11-01

Great product. Very useful on a recent hunting trip because of its small size. I will recommend this bag to anyone who need a sleeping bag but dont like to carry a bulky size. Be aware that its a 35 F bag.
lightweight but warm     On: 2007-10-04

This is a great looking sleeping bag. I havent actually used it because Im giving it as a gift. It is so light though...great for a hike...but seems really warm. I am pleased with the quality.
Great All Around Sleeping Bag     On: 2007-04-23

The One Kilo Extreme has been one of Lafumas best-selling sleeping bags since they started selling bags in the U.S. This bag has all the bells and whistles. Rated at 35 degrees Fahrenheit, the One Kilo Extreme uses Dupont Thermolite Micro insulation and holds true to its temperature rating. I have tested this bag several times in the Vail, Colorado area during early summer with temps hovering right around 35F, and I was toasty all night long. Lafuma, like all European sleeping bag manufacturers, is required to test their bags at an independent laboratory controlled by the EU, so the rating on this bag, and all Lafuma bags, is right on.

The bag is also durable with a micro-ripstop shell and interior. Also comes with a 4-strap compression sack which helps compress the bag nicely.

Not very warm     On: 2006-02-14

On the positive side, this is a very light bag that can be compressed into a small package, but you will be shivering due lack of insulation when the thermometer drops below 50. Actually, the “comfort rating” printed on the bag is 50 degrees, so I don’t know where the advertised rating of 33 degrees came from.
