I bought this for a relative who had it on her wish list and she said it was just okay, nothing special.

A week after my two kids each received one of these for Christmas we decided to try em out! My daughters promptly broke as we loaded batteries into hers. The metal rod near the base actually snapped off. We did not put undo preasure on the metal rod either so I figure it was defective. Ive asked Amazon if I can process an exchange even though its outside of 30 days so Ill be anxious to see how they respond. The other one worked fine. Lets face it... this is more a novelty item than a practical tool but in addition to being fun it works very well (as long as you dont get one suffering from metal fatigue).
