serves it's purpose     On: 2008-08-26

I purchased this product as an extra bed for when my children have friends overnight. The cot alone makes a lot of noise when you make any movement but is comfortable with the mattress on it. It does serve the purpose for quick overnight visits.
Try the mattress before you go camping.     On: 2008-07-16

This bed looked like the perfect answer for a camper who has difficulty getting up off the floor of the tent. However, we didnt test the mattress before we went camping and found that the mattress leaked! Coleman is willing to replace it, but not in time for days of discomfort camping on a cot that is incredibly uncomfortable without a mattress.
Great sleep     On: 2008-04-07

Tested my new Coleman air bed out a week ago and it sleeps just fine. My weight tests the limits of the bed and it didnt fold in on me or break. There is no assembly like in a regular cot. You just unfold it and make sure the leg supports snap in place. The sleeping bag did slide around a bit at the bottom even with the protective cover over the air mattress, but that was probably because I am a foot shorter than the bed. Got the long size for its width mainly. The only criticism I have is like others have said, the bed fabric is very tight and there is no give to it. This causes it to rub really hard against the frame causing an annoying squeek. I tried some baby powder on it but it is hard to get the powder all the was in and around as the fabric is tight even when the bed is folded up. Also, for this price, the air mattress isnt the best made and it would be nice to have a protective carry case with handle for packing and carrying. For the price I think the mattress seams should have had extra material at least a half inch around all seams, like you see in rubber boats. When the mattress leaks, it will most likely be at the seams, which are unfixable. I still give it a 5 star though because there isnt anything better as comfortable on the market that I could find.
Worth the price but not perfect     On: 2007-08-04

We purchased 2 of these complete beds. The cot is sturdy but takes 2 people to keep it set up properly. It reminded me of the cartoon cots that folded the sleeper inside it! The mattress squeeks when you roll over and would benefit with a flocked liner like other air beds. The size was generous and the mattress stayed firm for several nights. For the price, we got what we expected.

If you weigh over 100 pounds dont order     On: 2007-03-18

It is okay for a extra bed for company but my son slept on it and he weights 89 lbs and the rails bent that holds the cot part up would never purchase again would never let a adult sleep on it.

The Coleman Overnighter was a great purchase! It resolved my need for a quick overnight bed that is also comfortable. It is an easy setup and easy take down. Save the box for easy storage!
I also found it great for napping on the screened porch! zzzzzzzzzzz....
