On: 2008-07-30I recently went on a couple of camping trips.... One using this pad and another on an air mattress.. Let me tell you, this pad was actually a lot more comfortable than my air mattress... It was just like sleeping on a bed at home.. Item rolls up into a compact sack that fits perfectly in my day pack. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is going camping. Definately worth the price. Good for backpacking  On: 2008-06-26I just finished using this pad on a two-week backpacking trip. It worked fine for me the entire time. It packs small and it is reasonably light. Its pretty thin, so if you are looking for a pad for normal tent camping you may want to opt for a thicker pad. If you get this pad, I would recommend the Trekker chair to go with it. This lets you turn your pad into a camp chair and it works great. Great for its size On: 2008-05-20Were travelling by motorcycle and space is at a premium, but were old, so comfort is also very important! After looking at all the compact mattress options, the Therm-a-rest was the smallest that still felt comfortable. After two weekends of sleeping on this little gem, I am very pleased. Our first outing was a cold night (45 degrees). I never felt the cold coming up from below. The second time I dont think the temps dropped below 70 all night long! I was comfortable on the pad, never sweaty. I sleep on my back, but when I rolled on my side, I could feel a few pressure points. For side sleepers, I think youll need to go to a heavier pad. My husband has back problems, and has decided to try the thicker 1 1/2" Therm-a-rest, hoping for a bit more support, although he says he feels this Pro Lite 3 does a good job, he wants better! The only discomfort I felt was paying for it! Fortunately, Amazon helped a bit there by offering the lowest price around :) Aislante inflable On: 2008-01-12Super cómodo para ser un aislante, parece una colchoneta. Es mucho mejor que los aislantes convencionales. No se infla solo. Para sacarle es aire es como dificil porque no sale todo completamente, pero se puede enrollar fácil. A mi me pareció muy buen producto, lo recomiendo. Exactly what it says On: 2007-08-11This is not the cheapest (or most expensive) sleeping pad you can buy, or the thickest, but its very close to perfect for weekend warrior backpackers like myself. Very small, easy to get it to pack back close to the size of the package i bought it in. Owned mine for over a year and it is still in perfect shape. If you are someone who notices rocks and roots a bit more than a normal person, go with a thicker pad, or the ProLite 4 worth good money  On: 2007-05-30Im pretty new to the hiking thing, but so far, so good. The self-inflation feature doesnt seem as much as its hyped for, but the pads a breeze to inflate. I do slide off of it while on uneven ground, so in the future Ill look for something with a faster grip. It packs easily in an old stuff sack and rolls up quickly. I paid about $80. Easy on the back in more ways than one! by: pfoltz5 On: 2007-05-07 I purchased this sleep mat for my upcoming planned bicycle tour from Philadelphia, PA to Bar Harbour, ME in June (2007). This mattress is easy on the back, and is quite comfortable, and it is very light - as you can imagine I dont want to be any more burdened down than is necessary. It rolls up into a tight bundle - I purchased a waterproof bag for it at the same time, and it inflates-deflates quickly with a twist of a dial on the stem. |
