strong & lightweight     On: 2008-10-03

Very lightweight & strong. Just what I needed to replace some aging "stock" tent pins, long since bent into contorted splines from hard ground.
Much Better Than Plastic     On: 2008-09-20

Weve camped on all kinds of surfaces from grass to gravel to hardpan, and these stakes work very well for every surface. Unlike the plastic stakes that so often come with tents, these will not break, split, or bend. These are better than the steel stakes with plastic heads, because as you know, the plastic heads are easily bent and broken. These stakes go into the ground with relative ease, and you can hit em with a mallet if the ground is that hard. Removal is fairly easy; if the ground is hard, hook the string over your mallet handle and pull. Out they come! Weve never had a problem with these, and we have tried just about every kind of stake available.

These light weight stakes have a nice design that works well in most ground conditions.
Superior Design and Craftmanship     On: 2008-08-29

Having never used these stakes before, I can only comment on the build quality as I can see it. As far as I can tell, these lightweight stakes are of superior build quality and I dont see myself having to buy any others ever again. I have been through multiple sets of stakes and none of them had the build quality of these. (Let me tell you, no matter how sturdy they look, DO NOT purchase the giant silver nails with the plastic hooks; they are worthless)

These stakes are light enough to be taken on a backpacking trip, yet sturdy enough to be relied upon where the sediment is rocky, frozen, or otherwise less than ideal.

I am confident that I have purchased a product that will allow me to continue my passion for many years to come. If that changes, be sure to check back in to this review to read my criticisms.

Stick in ground. Holds down tent. Done.

Does not work on vampires.
best alum stake around     On: 2007-12-25

by far, the best alum tent stakes Ive ever owned. The tri-leg design is the extra reinforcement it needs (which many dont have) to drive into just about any type soil. The only upgrade I can think of would be to go with the same design in titanium... which I have, but now that Ive got these, I dont think the strength improvement and minor weight savings justifies the excessive cost of the titanium variety. Definitely a great product.

Excellent product. Purchased for weight reduction during our camp outs. Could not improve if I wanted.

The best     On: 2007-04-07

Simply the best tent stake on the market today. Ive been a Scoutmaster for 23 years and have gone through dozens of different designs of tent stakes looking for the most perfect one out there: this is it. They can be bought for about $2 ea. If you look around you can find cheaper copies sold in different colors but unless youre buying them by the hundred as I am, its not worth the search. The three sided design grabs the soil, placed sideways it hold in sand and snow. The anodized aluminum is very lightweight but drives into the hardest ground. ...and the lifetime warranty means youll never have to pay for a tent stake ever again!
