It is great for that extra burner indoors or outdoors. Why didnt I thing of this years ago? Comes in a carrying case, is very easy to store and keep clean. A lot of product in a small package. Poor purchase  On: 2008-09-08We could never get this to light (directions say not to light it manually) and got absolutely no help from the distributor that Amazon referred us to. We went round in circles for far too much time to finally be told that it was made in China and they didnt have any information on it. They also clearly didnt care. Well definitely stay away from anything like that. The stove seems like a good one, but not being able to light it wipes that out. It was quite a while before we needed to use it, so probably too late to return it by the time we tracked down any response. "Built-In Self Igniting Automatic Ignition" Didn't Work...and...  On: 2008-08-18Unit is very light and quite portable. Inserted canister as directed, but the "Built-In Self Igniting Automatic Ignition" did not work (#*#$&#@!!). Had to light the burner with a barbecue lighter. Otherwise, the unit presents as advertised. Unit produced a very hot flame that was easy to control. For the price, I can live without the "Built-In Self Igniting Automatic Ignition" (mostly because I was able to fit the lighter in the case under the burner!). I have it in my "go" box as we often deploy immediately for disasters. Response team members gotta have coffee, electricity or no electricity! Extrememly convenient and easy to use. On: 2008-02-19This was life saver for me as I am unable to go up and down the stair much and now I can have hot food upstairs. Its really easy to use but of course you have to have ventilation. Really a nice product. Buying a Cheap Product Will Come Back to Haunt You  On: 2007-11-10I purchased three of these portable butane stoves for an event I was catering. When I tried them out, one of the three did not light properly. I received a replacement, and all seemed well. At the event, I could not get two of the burners to work, and had to scramble to find at least one portable burner from a friend. During the event, the flames would shoot out of the unit, and at one point I burned my hand. Then the flame would get very low and did not keep the heat at a uniform temperature. I ended up returing a total of four of these units. I strongly recommend you spend more money and get a more reliable product. This is a cheap stove that will not go the distance. Not Bad On: 2007-11-04The stove is a little on the cheap side but works as advertised. Read the directions carefully. I found the fuel bottles at Target. The plastic carry case is nice and protects the stove.... I have it as a part of my "RUN" kit so I can heat the MREs and boil water. With the terrorist and weird weather you got to be ready to RUN... grea little stove On: 2007-01-03Packs up easily for traveling.Sets up for use in seconds.The flame is very hot.It heats or cooks large pots with ease |
