I-Sight Less Useful than Hoped     On: 2008-07-30

I often work late in a office that uses timed motion sensing after 5PM, so I thought that rather than jump up like a wild man every 15 minutes to turn the light back on Id instead put a small flashlight over my ear. In practice this doesnt work as well as I had hoped. The spot illuminated by this light is small enough to make it annoying to keep it on the subject of interest. The quality of the light is very blue, causing eyestrain if used for long periods. And the earpiece is somewhat uncomfortable and hard to adjust. On the plus side, the light is very handy for working under the desk when cables need to be moved, because it frees both hands and provides plenty of light to locate and orient plugs and such. And its very handy to have a small flashlight in a dark office even if you dont hang it over your ear. I found it a worthwhile purchase even if it didnt turn out to be as useful as I had hoped.
My favorite reading light     On: 2008-05-22

So simple and easy. No trying to balance the clip on your book and aim it just right. I love this because it is just enough light to brightly light the pages but not bother anyone, such as a sleeping spouse. It uses one AAA battery. I find I have to change them every 3 weeks or so, reading every night.

A great feature is that it is hands free, slips over your ear and points just at what you are looking at. For reading in a car, or flights when traveling it is perfect and if you have to get up at night to go to the bathroom, it is just enough to light your way without disturbing anyone. Absolutely LOVE it - now I use it with my Kindle ebook reader - perfect!
Like it a lot     On: 2008-05-11

I have been using this for a few months. Works great. My only complaint is that there is no master "off" switch. Hence, if I try to cart it around in my backpack it often turns itself on and its battery wears out. I hope the manufacturer reads these comments and will create an updated version with a master switch.
I-Sight, I like!!     On: 2008-02-01

I always find it amusing that some folks seem to have difficulty with operating something rather simple. Much like the people shown in an advertisement having difficulty (on purpose) with a simple task and then shown with the solution product that they are pitching.
We spend a lot of time RVing with a dog which requires spending time outdoors, many times in the dark. This little light is perfect since it frees up your hands to handle the doggy chores. But it also is enough light on a dark night to allow you to get around while seeing everywhere your head is pointed.
It feels awkward at first, until you get the hang of it. Put it on your ear, adjusting it and pushing it against your head, until it feels snug. Mine has yet to fall off or even come close to falling off.
Ive used head lights that strap around your head like a visor. And Ive used other types of illuminating devices, but this is now my favorite.
If you are one of the voters in Broward county during the 2000 election who couldnt seem to vote, this is not for you. Everyone else - youll love it!

I neglected to mention that it has allowed me to grill on our portable grill outside after dark when camping. Many times the light available is just not enough or non-existent. This light is more than adequate for the task and frees your hands to do everything. Its cool.........
I love this little light!!!     On: 2007-02-08

I purchased one of these about 2 years ago in Radio Shack, and I used it so much that used up the battery and finally the bulb. I then obtained a replacement and did an encore and now I am buying a third. I may seem like lot but in all honesty I used the hell out of mine! I have used it for such things as changing a flat tire at night (this happened to me twice), working on computers under a desk, wiring electrical fixtures in a dark corners. Plus about a 1000 other applications where it was not practical to have a conventional flash light. Its light in weight and mounts on the ear much like a cell phone ear piece does. About the only down side it that if you have cell phone ear piece on the other ear, you end up looking like something out of Star Trek.
Mini light with a Big punch!     On: 2007-01-18

This mini gizmo I found to be one of those great things that come in small packages. I purchased this item for my wife who sometimes needs a night light for reading at night (in darkest) so not to bother me when shes next to me. This was the answer to our prayers. I highly recommend!
A Task Light not capable of most tasks...     On: 2007-01-16

This light is just "ok". This light is fairly bright, given how small it is, but its not a light for ALL tasks. The light would probably be fine for reading at night but not suitable if you are, oh lets say, working on a car or something where you really need a bright light.

My biggest gripe is probably how uncomfortable the light actually is on someones ear. It is not ergonomic by any means of the imagination. It seems like its not really built to fit on the ear at all. When you place the light over your ear it actually makes the light swivel practically into your eye ball, which is exactly where you dont want it. I would only recommend this light to people who plan on using it to read for short periods of time.

Tiny Book Light     On: 2006-11-16

This is a useful little light that does not give off a huge amount of light but would be okay for reading in bed, on a plane or anywhere else you did not want to wake or disturb others. There are other, better booklights but they are bulkier and heavier.
