I love this hydration pack! Its small enough so that it does not get overloaded with things, yet large enough to carry your essentials. I bought this for my son, he is 9 years old, I have my own, different model. I use his more than I use mine! I like that it has different pouches and you can fit a sweatshirt and other things in it for a short trip even without the hydration pack or with it if you are going for some light hiking. You cant go wrong with this pack!

This is the third Camelbak hydration system Ive purchased in the last month or so. I originally bought the the Hydrobak for short excursions and the MULE for longer trips. However, when Im out mtn biking, I also like to take my digital SLR (Canon 20D) along and the MULE could barely contain the camera. The Blowfish is perfect for longer excursions or when you need the extra space to carry gear. This past weekend, I was able to take 3L of water, my Canon 20D DSLR with 17-85IS lens, a long sleeve jersey, pack of dehydrated fruit, bike toolkit, bike pump, keys, cellphone, spare tube and that was even BEFORE unzipping the extra compartment. True to its name, the Blowfish has a zipper that expands the storage area to twice its original capacity. I can see this being of tremendous benefit when youre out and about and the weather gets warmer so you take your jacket off and stuff it in the pack.
The bladder system is the same as on the MULE and all of the other 3L Camelbak systems. The straps are comfortable and the back of the pack has air channels that help to keep your back from sweating too much.
I use different Camelbaks for different reasons:
Hydrobak - Useful for < 1-2 hour rides and when you dont need to carry any gear (barely room to carry keys and cellphone)
MULE - Useful for most excursions as long as you dont expect to carry more than some emergency supplies and food
Blowfish - Useful for those times when you need that extra storage space to carry the kitchen sink.
