Not half bad.     On: 2008-08-17

In my mind, Coleman is the mark of quality. So I bought this because I loved the idea of the different configuration possibilities, but one half deflated considerably over just one night. So I took it back to the store I bought it from and exchanged it for another one of the same, hoping it was a fluke that one half was perfect and the other was flat. The replacement did exactly the same thing. I traded it for a third, hoping it would be the charm. One half is great, while the other has a slow leak that requires refills every other day. Ive bought cheaper-brand air mattresses with better lasting results.

I found this twin most comfortable - good support and much comfort - and feeling rested upon awakening after the night.
ok product, awful shipping     On: 2008-08-07

The air mattress is fine. Its a garden variety that you can get anywhere. The problem was with the shipping. The package tracking showed that the item wasnt being shipped until the 14. unfortunately we needed it for the 14th so we attempted to cancel the order and just bought the same item from Target (for the same price). The day the order was canceled it arrived. Now, there is no way a huge corporation like Amazon doesnt know exactly when their items are shipping. They try to scare customers with the later date hoping they will pay extra for shipping. The item may arrive the same day using the free or lower shipping rate, but they dont want us to know that.
Now I am stuck with this item and I will be forced to pay shipping to return it all because Amazon refuses to show accurate ship dates.
Just shop your local Target. Youll know exactly what you are getting and when.

Great portable/spare bed     On: 2008-08-06

Though I havent used this bed personally, my kids (10 and 12) have several times, and for days at a time. Theyve used it as two single beds, and stacked as one high bed. No leaks or complaints, great product.
Great Airbed     On: 2008-07-30

Great airbed! Easy to set up and comfortable. I have used it stacked as a twin mattress. It worked out great for company! Much nicer than having to sleep all the way to the floor. I recommend this air bed, it is a great deal!
No Pump     On: 2008-07-29

When I bought this bed, I thought a pump would come with it. But it didnt, so I returned it for another one that had a pump with it. Otherwise, it probably would a good bed, and would have worked.
Exactly What I Wanted     On: 2008-07-11

After looking at overpriced and unwielding solutions like the AeroBed, I stumbled upon the Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed. It was exactly what I neeed (a flexible, inexpensive bed for a short term guest). The bed is well made, didnt leak after days of use and is very comfortable. In the stacked mode, it high enough off the floor to allow a sleeper to sit and rise comfortable. The seals allow you to inflate it with a manual or powered pump (not included) quickly and securely. The split design is very flexible allowing many configurations so you dont need multiple beds for various situations. Im completely happy with this product and highly recommend it. Add a manual or powered pump and youll still come out ahead of one of those fancy, overpriced models.
Coleman beats Aerobed     On: 2008-07-08

We initially bought the Coleman 4-in-1 quickbed for a trip where we were staying in a sublet, so that we would not have to use the pull-out bed that was provided. We thought that we would get 5-7 days of sleeping on it and probably stow it away for guests. However, this bed has seen use every night for at least two months, and it has only been reinflated ONE TIME! Great product for the money and durability.
Great air mattress     On: 2008-06-25

The air mattress is very comfortable and easy to fill. You can close the valve without removing the air pump so you dont loose any air pressure and it keeps the mattress nice and firm. When stacked it is very comfortable for a single person. The only drawback is the zipper that keeps the two mattresses together as a king size mattress. It does keeps them stuck together, but they do space apart somewhat. As is spaces apart you are drawn to that part of the mattress. I had to literally move my kids out of the crevase several times a night. However, the mattress was comfortable and easy to take down and roll up in its carrying bag.
versatile airbed     On: 2008-06-05

We purchased this for some car camping we plan to do this summer. The mattress seems well made and sturdy. The two halves can be independently filled and separated completely. So one person can move around without sending the other one flying.
We will see how well it holds up in the field but I am optimistic. I also purchased the rechargeable Coleman air pump which is noisy as hell but makes filling and deflating the airbed a minute job.
Great buy!     On: 2008-05-25

Dont bother with a more expensive air mattress! This one is a great buy and lasts just as long, maybe even longer. We use this one several times a week and it holds up great. You can also use it as two separate mattresses so youre getting 2 for the price of 1. Unlike some of the others, you dont need to plug in the air pump since it uses 4 D batteries.
Sleeping Well From NYC.     On: 2008-05-07

If you need an airbed - Buy this one! Very very comfortable indeed and a great nights sleep was had.
Excellent Product     On: 2008-04-21

We have only used this bed one time, but it performed beautifully, was comfortable, easy to inflate (with a pump)and easy to deflate. We would buy this product again.
worked perfect for my kids!     On: 2008-04-12

I have a two and three year old and we are always trying to figure out sleeping arrangements when traveling. I purchased this and used it for an extended trip to see friends and family. It worked perfectly! I bought light weight sleeping bags and they slept great on the beds. I love that I have so many options with it and can use it for family visiting us in the future. I looked at tons of blow up beds for toddlers and this was so much cheaper. Other than missing a character design like Dora or Thomas, this was certainly a great deal for me!
Versatile, durable, comfortable     On: 2008-04-01

The 4-in-1 Quickbed had served us well in the home and out camping.

Now, lets start it out by saying theyre not for backpackers. However, if you go by car to the campsite, like us, these are an excellent balance between comfort and portability.

Product has proven durable. With the Coleman rechargable quick pump, theyre quickly inflated and deflated, making ease of use very high.

Having them at home provides for easy set up for that occasional drop-in guest (or two).
OK not great     On: 2008-03-28

I bought this b/c we have a small apartment and need a bed for guests. My father slept on this and one of the nights I saw him on our couch instead. So I guess that is a sign it wasnt the most comfortable! He didnt complain saying it was horrible so it was "ok" for a few nights but not ideal. I like the idea of it being a twin or a queen so I think thats a plus and it seems sturdy & not leaky, so it really seems to be a comfort issue.
Comfy & Nice on the budget     On: 2008-03-28

When my old airbed (not a Coleman bed) finally crapped out, I found this Coleman 4-in-1 bed. It was reasonably priced for its flexibility, from king-size to a raised twin, etc. I found myself sleeping on this bed in the raised-twin position for nearly a year. It was durable, comfortable and soft with its dura-suede feel. Each month, I had to reinflate the mattresses once or twice (preferring an extra firm feel); however, the mattresses never really deflated that much for me. The time it took to inflate (or deflate) both mattresses took ~5 minutes or so. The only negative thing I have to add is: the pump is NOT included with the bed. You have to purchase it separately, and its battery-operated only, no AC adapter.
Not worth price     On: 2008-03-16

The company advertises that this 4-in 1 air mattress set can be doubled over to make a bottom and top mattress, adding to the comfort of the sleep. This would be great, however doing so causes the mattresses to unstably rock back and forth.

They also offer a leak free guarantee. Thats also false, and if you have extended uses of the bed, plan to inflate it once every other day, if not more.

The quality matches slightly better than what you can find at Family Dollar for half the price. Only slightly. Dont buy it.
Yay!     On: 2008-03-03

These things are great- I actually bought 2 for my family to sleep on when theyre in town. Theyre versatile and durable and comfy!
Air Mattress     On: 2008-02-25

Love the design of the king size using 2 twins. My only complaint is the seams of the mattress seem to start failing in about two years. They still fit my purpose, even with the built in obsolence.

Very comfy, until it deflated     On: 2008-02-01

I bought this item for my daughter to use for a sleep over. Loved the ease of set up, inflated in a couple of minutes. Loved how two can be connected to make one king size bed or they can be separate for two twins. My daughter (10 and light weight) loved it so much, she continued sleeping on it, with the twins on top of one another, for a couple more nights. Last night, the top one had deflated. I didnt worry, it had been inflated for nearly a wk. I re-inflated it. An hour later, it was flat. Re-inflated, again. Flat, again, in an hour. Now, I am off to email Coleman to see what they will do. I really like the concept and had planned on bringing one on our next vacation, but $40 was a little much for less than a wk of using it.
Coleman Bed     On: 2008-01-14

I needed a bed right away that would be small enough to fit in a confined space for a guest that would be at my home over the Christmas Season, the Coleman 4-1 seemed to fit my needs. I received the bed just prior to my guests arrival and was very pleased at its construction, I love the fill valves as well as the soft top. The bed was easy to fill and stayed full for the week my guest used it. The only problems I saw with the bed are these; It is a bit short for a tall person, and when stacked getting close to the edge of the bed can cause some unwanted movement. If you are 58" tall and sleep close to the center of the bed in the stacked position, you will love the thing. IF you open the bed up you will be happy all the way around. The price was good, the bed had reasonable comfort, and great construction. I would buy again if needed.

I was more that satisfied with the coleman airbed and pleasantly surprised that it can also be a double bed. If you are looking for quality in an air mattress you will not go wrong with this product.

Well, only one of the twin beds stayed inflated !!! I slept on the bogus one and was pissed !!! Buyer beware.....

Comfortable and versatile, due to the ability to stack it for a raised twin bed and also use as a king or 2 twins.

Great for weekend camping     On: 2007-12-17

I took this camping over a weekend and it was great - much fatter than my tentmates mattress and very comfortable. I like the flexibility of being able to fold it out into a double mattress.
Best. Purchase. Ever.     On: 2007-12-17

I dont normally review things, but this was such a good purchase that I cant resist...

I recently moved about 400 miles and into a big city apartment. I didnt have a lot of furniture, so it seemed kind of silly to rent a moving van just for a bed. Finally, after looking at a million different styles, I decided Id try this inflatable bed. Its compact, so I could just squeeze it into the car with the rest of the luggage. I wouldnt have to fight to get a bed frame and mattress up the apartment stairs. Plus, I figured if I hated it, I could find a real bed at some point.

I LOVE this bed. Ive been sleeping on it every night for over 6 weeks and have never (yet) had to refill the air in it. Separating the twin beds is easy, and comes in handy when guests come visit.

One tiny tiny con... The very first time you lay on this bed, it is awkward and uncomfortable. Im not gonna lie. However, after about 30 minutes, you get used to the water bed feeling, and the whole bed feels insanely comfortable. Its like it takes the bed (or the PVC material) 30 minutes or so to relax... Also, it did not come with a pump, so I had to buy one for 15.99. *shrugs*

I would never go back to a regular bed. This bed can be an elevated twin bed, a king size, two twins, compacts down to about a 10 pound parcel with a carrying strap, is as comfortable as a spring mattress and cost me forty bucks.

Highly recommended.
Great! Buy it-you won't be sorry!     On: 2007-12-02

Coleman air mattress-Great product. Bought 3 and it worked great for six people. Remember to buy the pump-works fast. No complaints! We spent a lot of money on Hammacher Schlemmers Inflatable Memory Foam bed and sent it back. It was like sleeping on a brick. You wont go wrong with the Colemans Quickbed! Just in time for the holiday guests!
Very satisfied     On: 2007-11-17

We bought the mattress to use while awaiting delivery of our bed, which we knew would be about a week.
Using it as a bed for two certainly tested the limits (and our marriage), but it was satisfactory, and sure beat sleeping on the floor.
Using it doubled up as a single bed really is preferable and was a very satisfactory experience.
Decent product     On: 2007-11-17

I found it very useful when my parents were over. It seems to lose air over time, but that was not a big show stopper for me.
No Air Leakage....     On: 2007-11-10

I think this is just about the coolest camping/spare bed ive seen. Ive slept on it numerous times and its quite comfy. It feels a little rocky when its stacked on each other and you sleep on them, but as a single, or two singles or the queen...i like it. The top is a soft type fabric very nice.

I only ever have to blow it up once and for over a week it stayed basically the same. It has a double air lock, so you plug the air hole and then push it in and it locks it that way too. Its easy to roll up, smaller than a sleeping bag rolled up. Its smaller and easier if you use an air pump to deflate as well as inflate.

Overall i would definetly buy this again, but luckily i dont have to because this is really 2 singles or one queen. Kind of like getting two beds for one.
Very comfortable     On: 2007-10-31

I just camped with this. I used it as a double high twin and was very comfortable. I would recommend this product. Another good thing - if you are camping and one mattress gets a hole, you still have an airbed left and are not on the ground!
UNCOMFORTABLE     On: 2007-10-24

This is the worst blow up bed Ive ever had. It feels like hard plastic to sleep on and it also feels like a water bed when you use it piggyback. I felt like I was falling off. It also loses air very quickly. I had to keep blowing it up. I used it, so my company could be comfortable in my bed. Thank God I did that or they would never come back.
inflatable mattress     On: 2007-10-22

These are very good - I bought 2 sets - of the four mattresses, one sprung a slow leak. It can still by used but is deflated by morning. Took about 3 uses for the leak to show. The other three, however, are fine. All in all Im rather pleased.
Good bed     On: 2007-09-23

Its a nice bed, Ive had it for near 2 months now and not had to reinflate it even once. This is my main bed, the one I sleep on every night, because I find air mattresses a lot easier to sleep on and certainly cheaper than a furniture bed!
Better than what I expected!     On: 2007-09-16

The bed is very easy to use, very easy to pump up, what I like is that is two beds in one you can use just one or two for two people or one on top of the other, is very comfortable it doesnt leak air and is very cheap.
Worth the buy **     On: 2007-09-14

Bought this product few months ago for a camping trip. Works great. You will need the electric or rechargable pump with it. It doesnot come with it.

This air mattress is great, put the two together and you are sleeping on a cloud and have bed height too.
worked fine for short term use     On: 2007-09-02

i used it for 3 nights as a king bed and it worked fine, but getting in and out interrupted my sons sleeping
Comfortable nights sleep     On: 2007-08-31

We ordered these mattresses for our park model trailer. We intended them to be for our grandkids to use when they visit us at the lake. One night we thought we would try them out. Now we use the air mattress all the time and put the kids in the bed. However we dont like them stacked, we prefer them attached side by side.
Money Wasted     On: 2007-07-20

Although I purchased this product in March, I did not start using it until mid-April. I used the double-high twin configuration and the top half went flat within a month. Its now July, and the bottom half has given out as well. This is the second Coleman air mattress purchase Ive had problems with, so I will not purchasing this brand again. Ill go back to using the Intex brand for air mattresses.

my least favorite air mattress     On: 2007-07-11

I recently bought 3 different air mattresses for house guests. It was the only one that didnt come with a pump attached-I had to buy one for $19. I used the bed as a raised twin. The first night the bed lost some air, and my niece rolled and fell out of bed! I would definitely recommend spending a little extra money and buying a bed with a pump. This bed was not AWFUL,however, there are better beds out there.

This is an easy to inflate and deflate air mattress set that works as advertised. The carrying case is a real nice feature. The $39.99 Amazon price is a bargain for this product.
Shouldn't be leaking!     On: 2007-07-02

Ive bought two of these air mattresses locally and Im disappointed--they both deflated notably within a couple nights. Ive been using air mattresses for >5 years, and even cheap $15 ones have lasted me years without needing any air refill due to leakage. I dont understand why some other reviewers are giving four- and five-star reviews when they admit that the mattress loses air over just a few days. An air mattress that leaks is a piece of junk, period!

it serves its purpose     On: 2007-06-28

I had some guests over and needed some temporary bedding. Used it continuously for 3 weeks. After about every 2-3 days, it starts to lose air and needs to be refilled.
Stacking the twins together works fine as long as both are filled up. As soon as one loses air, it makes sleeping very difficult and feels like its going to tip over.
Overall, its a good deal for the price.
Easy, comfortable     On: 2007-06-27

I bought one set and then my son bought two more for our beach house. They take up so little space when deflated, inflate easily with the Coleman pump we bought, deflate easily with the same pump. The guests who slept on them found them very comfortable. They are also a good size for my 3-year old grandson. There isnt far for him to fall.
a great inflatable bed     On: 2007-05-17

We got this for our guests and they all enjoyed sleeping on it. Its super easy to inflate and deflate and it holds the air in very well. Its comfortable and nice. Its very inexpensive for the benefit you get and its nicely made.
Worth the price.     On: 2007-03-24

I havent had the chance to actually put this to the guest-test yet but the versatility of configurations along with the price make it a very worthwhile buy. It kept a pretty decent fill level for the three days I left it inflated. Seems to be made very durable and really like the ability to stack together or keep totally seperate.
4 in one airbed     On: 2007-03-09

Im not sure where the 4 comes from, the bed can be used three ways, but it is wonderful. I am using it as a raised twin for my daughter and its comfy and solid.
A comfortable, versatile bargain!     On: 2007-02-14

After researching many of the other more expensive, self-inflating air beds, I decided to purchase the Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed for overnight guests. Its less than half the price of an average twin size Aero Bed and much more versatile as it can be configured as two twins, one king, or one double-height twin. You do need to buy a separate pump, but the Coleman pump is inexpensive and can be used for other inflating/deflating purposes (e.g., pool toys, vaccuum storage bags, etc.). Each mattress inflates and deflates in just a couple minutes, and its quite easy to roll it up for storage. Its comfortable both as a single matress or double height. I ended up buying a second 4-in-1 Quickbed, so now I can accommodate up to 4 overnight guests for less than $100. I cant vouch for how long it will last, but even if it sprung a leak after a couple years of periodic use, it would still be worth it at this low price.
