On: 2008-10-04This bag is so nice to wear all day. lots of pockets and room to go overnight camping. Bottle holders are so key. A little big for small day hikes but thats not why i got it. Excellent Design On: 2007-01-28Lots of room in the compartments. Side compartments are a bit more narrow than previous editions of this pack, but still highly useful. Internal frame really helps evenly distribute load. Semi-rigid foam "back board" isolates contents from your back and ensures comfort. Canted water bottle pockets make for easy access while on back, but must be cinched tightly in order to avoid accidental loss of bottles (learned this the hard way...). Open middle compartment is a great feature. Great dual purpose use as a carry-on as long as it is not overloaded - will fit under seat on most any domestic flight, even the little regional jets and turboprops. Highly recommended!!! |
