Ive tried other inflatable supports, a buckwheat hull pillow, and standard throw pillows, and this has them beat. The shape is just right, and the self-inflating valve works great. I can adjust the inflation very easily for whatever purpose is needed (driving, airline flights, sitting at home). Plus, its very small and easy to carry around. I ended up buying two - one to keep in my car and the other for general use. Great for pregnancy! On: 2008-07-31If you are pregnant and/or suffer lower back pain, this pillow is the BEST!!! Im 7 months pregnant and I take it with me EVERYWHERE! I use it in the car, on my chair at work, in restaurants, at the movie theater, at home... If I let the air out of it, its small enough to roll up and fit inside my purse. I start with it fully inflated when I use it and then let out air a little bit until its perfect for wherever Im sitting. After using this product I dont think I would be satisfied with lumbar support thats not adjustable. Plus, being made by Therm-a-Rest, this product is top quality. It is very durable. If youve never used a Therm-a-Rest product, know that its virtually impossible for the air to leak. back pillow On: 2008-07-14This product is great for airline travel - it takes very little room in the carry-on and you dont have to fight for a pillow! Adjustable Lumbar Comfort On: 2007-10-30Recently purchased the Therm-a-rest Lumbar Pillow for an anticipated LONG flight and drive for vacation. It works WELL and was a life saver. The Therm-a-Rest thickness and/or softness can be infinitely adjusted with a simple air valve. It also deflates easily and rolls up to the size of a large hot dog. I just kept it in my jacket pocket when not in use. Its WORTH the money. Therm-a-Rest Lumbar Pillow Comfort On: 2007-08-28This is a great travel item. The air is compressed out as you roll it up and the pillow becomes a very small size easy to put into a purse or even a pocket. When ready to use, just unscrew the air cap and it quietly self-inflates. Put the pillow behind your back, loosen the cap as you lean back and you can compress the pillow to just the right shape and size for your comfort. When you tighten the cap, the pillow will hold that shape. We now own two, because once you realize how comfortable the pillow makes your back feel on a long trip, there is no giving it up for sharing. Very portable and comfortable. |
