Bolt Vacuum Food Jar By: Stanley Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 11 More Information Great Thermos  On: 2008-08-13I have a very restricted diet and have to carry my own food everywhere. This thermos is the perfect size and is very sturdy. Having the right size is important because if there is too much room inside, there will be a large air space and the food will cool off much quicker. It holds enough for one person. helps you lose weight! On: 2008-08-01if youre like me, then youre looking at this so you can have a hot lunch at work or school without having to eat out. and you should. a hot bowl of tomato soup is way better for you then going down the road for some fast food or ordering a pizza or Chinese. but you really should only put canned soups in it. i made Ramen soup and put it in there (not sure what i was thinking) and the noodles just kept cooking while they were in it, so by the time i ate it they were all mush. but chicken noodle soup from the can was fine (i assume they use a special kind of noodle that can stand being in the broth for months without getting mushy). chili is my favorite, and after four hours in it, its still to hot to eat. six hours and you might still have to blow on it first. just make sure you fill it with hot water to heat it up first. makes it work even better. Keeps food hot or cold if you follow directions On: 2008-05-17This really works great. My husband uses this for work and it really does keep the food hot or cold if you follow the directions. The one day my husband did not get a chance to eat his lunch. When he opened it up 9 hours later the food was still hot and he ate it for dinner! My husband likes his food hot not just warm and this does the job. So Hot for Sooo Long  On: 2008-05-04I was a little skeptical about how long the thermos would keep my food hot but was so very pleased. I typically prepare food around 11:00AM to eat around 10:00PM when I get off work. It is always hot, sometimes so hot I have to blow on it to cool it down! Just make sure you fill it with boiling water first. Great product. Hot stuff! On: 2008-05-01I was previously sending my childs lunch in a plastic thermos, the food was room temperature by lunch time, but I figured it would hold off the bacteria a little longer, and didnt think there was a better alternative. Was I wrong! My child brought his leftovers back home in the stanley one day, and it was still warm, some 9 hours later! Also, he has been eating a lot more of his lunch lately. Husband Loves It! On: 2008-03-28My husband has to be at work literally before the crack of dawn and takes soup or chili, etc in this every day. He swears by it. He had one for a very long time, however the "cup" portion cracked and instead of just ordering a part, I got a new one seeing as they are relatively inexpensive. I would strongly recomend the 20oz Bolt Vacuum Food Jar over the Stanley Heat Saver food Jar Hands down.. the 20oz food bolt hold heat way longer and you wont be dissapointed like you will be if you buy the Heat Saver food jars ! I bought it so that I could send hot food with my daughter to school and it has kept the food hot all day long (The leftovers sometimes come home still warm - 8 hours after I put them in.) The first time I used it I loaded it up with soup at 6:00am and when it was opened at 1:00pm for lunch it was steaming hot! The next day I loaded it up at 6:00am and wasnt able to stop for a lunch break. Didnt open the jar up until after 6:00pm when I got home. I was so amazed to find the soup was steaming hot 12 hours later! Sturdy construction made to last. The handle is comfortable and the design is great, no way this could roll around in the car. I love that it doesnt roll around in the car, and I am amazed that my water is still hot at lunch time. I wash the food jar by hand and it is really easy to clean inside and out. |
