As far as medical diagnostic use, it works. Perfect for Rinne and Weber tests. What else can I say? It is a tuning fork! On: 2009-07-08
If youre a med student, and you need this for physical diagnosis, this is your tuning fork. Cheap, hasnt broken (yet?), does what it is supposed to do.
Really unsure what other people are using it for... but itll get your Rhinne and Weber tests done. On: 2007-08-28
I ordered from this company thinking that there would be more than (1) tuning fork included (as evidenced by the picture included). I found this not to be the case & I found it to be very misleading. I will not be a repeat customer. If I had known that I was only going to receive (1), I would have ordered elsewhere, as it would have been far cheaper. On: 2007-01-19
Bought this because the naturopathic doctor I visited said it would help my daughters neurological problems (tuberous sclerosis causes tumors in brain that cause seizures and weaken muscles). I figured, heck for less than $20 its worth a try. There is really no way to tell if it is having an effect. We have had a heck of a lot of fun banging it on our hand and buzzing each others ears unsuspectingly. The instrument is good quality and well made, but again if you are using it for neuro stuff, be sure to take a baseline before you use.
