The arch support is lacking and I had pain after wearing them for about an hour. good value for the money you will enjoy these puppies - good construction throughout. not OVERLY tickled in the color, but it is OK for the OTHER pair of hikers (to give the main ones a break). this may be only MY foot, but the right side tends to have a permanent shift to the left side of the insole during use: this is NOT uncomfortable in the least - just LOOKS a wee bit funky LOL overall though, def worth the price paid - no doubt Not bad for $19.79 I bought them 1/2 a size larger than normal and they fit fine. They will be good pair of boots to get dirty without feeling bad, how can you go wrong for $19.79. Gave as a gift These are nice boots and a value for the money. The colors are very nice. Perfect for stomping in the trees. The recipient likes them very much! Hicking Boot Fit is very snug and comfortable. Shoe is light weight a lot like HiTec brand shoes. Great for walking. Comfortable This boot is really comfortable. I dont know if I would do serious backpacing with them, but theyre a great all around shoe. Seems put together well, and fairly light. Ugliest boots I've ever seen I didnt notice it when looking at the online pictures, but these boots were the ugliest things Ive ever put on my feet, and I am no high-end shoe wearer. Honestly, they resembled those big fat moon-boot looking over-padded snow boots that anyone living in the North probably had as a kid. Thankfully, I had these shipped to work and within minutes of putting them on, I had received enough feedback to make shipping them back a no-brainer. Thank you to Amazon for allowing me to ship them back free of charge. OK boot - nothing special I write this after 6 weeks, maybe 24 hiking hours in these boots - mostly in 2-3 hour stints - so its a first impression really. I should also note that I am, for reasons unknown to me, really tough on boots - they crumble under my funny feet. That said - I like the stiffness/flexibility mix on these boots. I broke them in without any blisters (rare). One sort-of annoyance - the laces are thin and the top lace crossover is very close to the top of the tongue. Ive had to adopt an elaborate tying scheme to keep the lace from slipping over the top of the tongue Good ankle support for a relatively short boot. Good value - Ive spent a lot more on boots that Ive come to dislike and/or destroyed in quick order. It's Columbia nuff said! I purchased these for my dad as a gift. I personally own 4 pairs of Columbia boots and love them all so it was a no brainer to go with the brand. My dad walks 5 miles every morning rain or shine, winter or summer. He has had a great experience wearing these boots. He says they are comfortable and give him alot of cushion in his step. He is able to wear a couple of pairs of thick boot socks with these which in his mind is a big plus as he walks in very cold winter weather. Trust the brand, they know what their doing! Size OK Some reviewers indicated that this boot runs small. Because of this I ordered a size 1/2 larger to be safe. I wish I didnt as they are a little big. I think they are correctly sized. Other than that it is a good boot for the money. I wish they were waterproof though. Great Boot BUT I think the boot is great but the sizeing runs small. I wear a 9 it was to small but the 9 1.2 the arch fit "funny". May be different to you. Comodidad y ergonomÃa Estos zapatos son muy cómodos. La calidad insuperable. Tienen buen agarre, no resbalan. Bad Shoes My husaband had them for only a month before they came unsewn at the toes. Not a small hole but it went all the way across. And in both shoes. Not put together right. Very disappointed. To much money to fall apart!!!!!!!! Buy a half-size larger than usual. I wish I had seen the 1/2 size larger recommendation. Mine are 1/2 size too small! Nice boots though. Razor Ridge Shoe This shoe has been a real asset in the snow and ice. The recommendation to buy 1/2 size larger was right on. Fit great with no break-in time. Great Boot Bought this boot for varying terrain and temperature conditions. It is stable, comfortable, provides good traction, and is warm without being sweaty. I would strongly recommend this boot. |
