 21st Century Inc 210-32060 Hurricane Lantern No. 30 By: 21st Century Average Rating: 1.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Poorly made.  On: 2007-10-23I bought two of these in a single order. I bought these to replace another brand which I had broken the glass on. I assumed that any brand I bought would work adequatly but that turned out to be untrue. The paint on the top of the latern looks like someone put some tape on it when the paint was wet than removed the tape, terrible workmanship. The wick holder knob would not turn initally and the wick holder assembly was dangerously lose until I bent the holder ears down. Also, the wick in the unit cant keep up with even a small flame. That is, they used the cheapest wick they could find. Turning it up only burns more of the wick off since the obsorbtion of the wick cannot keep up with the flame. I plan on using the old wick from my other brand oil latern which had a broken glass globe to replace the low quality wick that was included in this one but Ill still have to buy another wick for the second unit. My recommmendation is to buy another brand. Without a doubt, this one is a piece of garbage. |
