Great poncho: not your basic piece of plastic crap! On: 2007-08-09We ordered two of these to keep in an an emergency "go-pack" for each adult family member. These are nylon/fabric, not plastic. This means they are not going to start getting you all wet on the underside, like a plastic poncho would when your skin emits heat that cannot ventilate. The rain extension is a great feature, to keep grown-ups dry (especially when carrying a backpack underneath). In the case of an emergency situation, we want to be more than just protected from rain, we want to be comfortable, too. So while this was more expensive than your basic throw-away poncho, it is much more functional in the long run: a nice example of getting what you pay for. |
