This flashlight is awesome. I have three of them. If it flickers, you just tighten the caps on either end. It really doesnt work as well as a push button flashlight as a "twist the cap and it stays on" flashlight." Besides, you dont want it to work as a push button flashlight.

Just twist the cap to turn it on, and then twist the cap the other way to turn it off. If you keep it in your car like I do, just take one of the caps off all the way. Its a great, tiny flashlight that will impress all your friends and come in real handy. Get one. Rite-Aids sell them usually if you want to try one out.

This is actually the second time I have bought one of these lights (the first works fine but I needed another). I have had some flicker problems with the first, but none with this second. This second one works perfectly and throws out a lot of light using very little power. I am pleased and would buy yet again if I needed another. I subtract 1 star (giving 4 instead of 5) because of the flicker problems with the first, which I have had for over a year, and the pricing does seem a few dollars higher on Amazon than what I have seen elsewhere. 4 stars

this is the best flashlight i have had. small & compact. sturdy metal construction. looks high-tech with the design and the "fuel core". super bright; more bright than those bigger filament ones. batteries included. i bought 4 of these already and will buy more in the future. there are couple choices but i prefer the gun metal.

Good, useful if you don;t have a compact flashlight. But you cannot adjust the range of the light. The reason I gave only 3 star is that I saw some cheaper price on other sites.

Bought two and then four more.

Pros: price and quality. very bright and compact. light flickers if back screw over tightened.

Cons: only one of the six had the light flickering problem. Flicker problem got better after I loosened the back screw a bit. Dont over tighten the back screw when inserting the batteries the first time. Didnt have problem with the others.

Bought this flashlight for use around the house. Its very small and brighter than a star. It comes in handy often and is well made(machined aluminum/push clicking switch). It includes batteries & wrist strap, and at around $10, its hard to beat. It looks nice and also has a nice feeling in your hand. Feels nice and sturdy, not like a flimsy plastic flashlight. Best of all, its LED and uses lots less power, lasts longer, and is much, much brighter than traditional light bulbs. Recommended Product.

Amazing Light Intensity!!     On: 2008-04-13

1) Surprisingly bright light. Much brighter any other brand I have purchased.
2) I have 3 D cell Maglight and its color is definitely yellow by comparison. The Maglight has a dark spot in the middle depending upon how you focus it and is more concentrated. The LED flashlight has a slightly blue light, but is more uniform spreading over a broader area.
3) This model is not as useful as the Maglight, but close.
4) I plan to get the 28 LED Giant Light next time.
5) Batteries are supplied, but are not Alkaline. Good enough to begin. Battery life is wonderful. I use NiMh rechargeables with great results.
6) One or more people talked about flickering, but mine works great.
7) A push button on the rear turns the light on and off. Overall construction appears quite solid.

This flashlight is awesome and so dang bright! I had ample opportunity to test it the other night when helping my brother in law load a truck in the middle of the night in the bottom of a creek bed outside Prescott Valley. This is what happens when you try to load a Ram 1500 on a car trailer.

I did come across the flicker that others have mentioned. But, I was able to fix it by tightening up everything. It was a bit loose I found. Once I did that, it worked without a hitch.
Mixed Feelings, but not bad for price.     On: 2008-03-30

I have mixed feelings on this light. It was smaller than I expected which was a plus for me and is a very attractive unit, plus it is pretty bright although Ive seen brighter with less LEDs. I do have two complaints though. First, its a 50/50 shot each time I unscrew the cap whether the light will work when I screw it back on. Something is wrong with the contacts. Second, I wanted something that I could hold in one hand and thumb on and off. There is a lip on the end that makes that difficult. Its easier than another cheap light I bought, but much harder than the Coast Flashlight some co-workers got at Lowes. That light is almost $50 though, so I guess you get what you pay for. I have to say its a good light for the price, but there are better lights out there.
Compact; Durable; POWERFUL     On: 2008-03-27

This flashlight is so small, it fits in the palm of my hand. Its highly durable, and VERY powerful; VERY bright. Lights up everything with a bright white light. When I first bought this flashlight, that night, I turned it on and held it up, pointing it at the sky, and I could see a beam of light coming from this small flashlight held in my hands, shooting straight up into the dark sky of night. The beam of light was faint, but it was still there. I was just amazed at how small this flashlight is, and yet its so incredibly durable and powerful. powerful enough to make a beam of light..

This little flashlight suprised me. It is blindingly bright (i found this out the hard way) and can lighten an entire dark room. The one thing i wouldve like to seen on this light was some sort of focuser or rim on the front of the light becuase the light disperses a lot without one.

I have used this flashlight for over a month and my observations are:

1) Very powerful light. Much brighter than its smaller 9-LED sibling.
2) Good for taking out at night while walking the dog. Will light up the immediate area.
3) Dont expect this light to illuminate anything more than 30 feet away.
4) Great value for the money. Dont waste your time with the 9-LED version.
5) Comes with batteries, but dont expect high quality brands.
6) The structural quality is fine. I didnt experience the "flimsiness" that other people wrote about.
7) Small and compact. Powerful for its size.

Bottom line: You cant beat this flashlight for its price. Not the best light Ive seen, but definitely worth the price.

I bought several of these for gifts and the receivers are happy. Its very well constructed and palm size. For the ladies it can be carried in the purse and makes a great light to walk to the car in a parking lot. The brightness would temp blind an attacker if the need arose.
With the 21 LEDs it gives off a very bright light and covers a larger area that you would expect. If you desire a small, well made, bright flashlight that you can depend on, this is the one.

Great value. Ive purchased several of these and all of them work flawlessly.

The covered on/off switch on the bottom of the flashlight makes it easy to operate with one hand.

However, the flickering is unbearable and shaking it or adjusting the contacts dont seem to make any meaningful difference. Its virtually unusable for me and very annoying. I want to like this very portable flashlight, but I wouldnt recommend it. Im going to look toward more expensive, hopefully more reliable, LEDs.

I ordered a couple of these as emergency lights for our cars. When they arrived I compared them to other LED flashlights - some many times more expensive. This little light is very bright and the quality is really good. You cannot beat this price.

I have used these flashlights for approximately one month. I am satisfied with the quality of the lights for the price. The flashlights are very bright for their size. I am thinking about buying more if the special remains at buy3 and get the fourth one free.

Excellent light output. Bought one to test and ended up buying six more. i havent experienced any flickering or signs of shoddy workmanship, but lets face it, if you want top of the line go buy a Streamlight or Surefire for 10 times more money.

The flashlight is anodized aluminum, not plastic and has an O-ring on the tail cap, but im not sure its waterproof as water might go in through the LED openings.

This flashlight is very bright indeed. I wish I had been able to read the warranty and see the notice about the lead content because I would not have purchased these items, especially for use by our grandkids. Instead, we will place them in our cars and keep them for emergencies.

This light worked very well for a few weeks. It works well now except every few minutes it goes dull, and I have to hit it against my hand a few times to bring it back to full brightness. Great price though!!! Id recommend it.

The shipping was quick, the light is very bright and batteries were included. However, if you lightly shake the flashlight the light goes on and off. Overall, for the price, not bad. I just wanted to try an LED flashlight.

This 21 LED flashlight puts out a lot of light, brighter, even, than my highly rated Inova X5. The amount of light it puts out is almost blinding if you look at it directly. Im just giving my first impressions on this light, and Im very, very impressed.

The amount of light you get out of this flashlight is amazing considering the size and 3x AAA batteries. The design seems sturdy but I doubt its watertight. Also one of them started flickering and I had to play with the contacts inside to fix the issue. The quality of the connectors inside is a bit flimsy, but it may be just a fluke. Overall Im happy with this. I tossed my monstrous flashlights that use 4 D batteries and use these guys now.

I bought this and was looking for a small, bright flashlight. I am amazed at how bright this light is. Ive used it with room lights on for that extra boost, and it works great.

This light is so bright, you cannot look directly at it. I bought mine from Etoolscity (through Amazon), and they were running a special -- buy 3 and get one free. I took the risk (cause I didnt know how well it would work), and it was worth it. Excellent price too for an LED flashlight.
