 'GIANT Light - Small Package' Flashlight - 21 LED! Cool Blue By: Unknown Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 30 More Information Throwing light on the subject  On: 2008-09-06Works well around the house and cant do without at work. It small enough I can easily keep it at hand and tough enough it takes the spills and bumps. I have to get into tight spaces working on photo processing machines. This light not only gets in but gives me more than enough light to see. flashlight On: 2008-07-01I bought two of these as gifts for my son & my husband. For such a small flashlight they are incredibly bright, very lightweight & perfect to toss in with camping gear, or just to use around the house when needed. I would not only recommend them, I would buy them again. Best mini flashlight ever On: 2008-06-19this is the best flashlight i have had. small & compact. sturdy metal construction. looks high-tech with the design and the "fuel core". super bright; more bright than those bigger filament ones. batteries included. Great little light On: 2008-05-29I bought two of these for my children to take to camp this summer. Im really pleased with the quantity and quality of light that comes from the flashlight. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the O-ring seals on the assembly. The size is perfect for my 8 and 12 year-old girls hands. The holster is too tight for the flashlight. It takes a bit of a struggle to get it in the holster, which makes the fact that it has a belt loop pretty obsurd. Good light for the price  On: 2008-05-28The light is bright and compact, lasts a while on the AAA batteries. My only complaint is the contacts that the tip of the battery mates against is not very big so it does not always turn on with out giving it a tap or two. so far so good On: 2008-05-22it is a good cheap portable flashlight with a handy belt loop carrying protector pouch. might check out the 28 led flashlight too, more lights with 7 more led for around the same price. good for car, or computer flashlight, or just one if the lights go out in georgia. disapointment  On: 2008-05-19the GIANT light did not work.. i returned it. you were supposed to refund my$$$$$. less performance, costs more than 9 LED version  On: 2008-05-08I bought this light and the 9 LED version at the same time. I have used both side by side. The 9 LED version is $4.99. The 21 LED version is $9.99. Both I and my father in law vastly prefer the 9 LED version. They use the same power (3 AAAs). A brief lesson about electronics: If you take a power source, and hook 9 LEDs up to it, and then you take the same power source and hook up 21 LEDs, the 9 LEDs will be brighter. The power gets "watered down" between the 21 LEDs. While there might be technically the same amount of light, it is far less concentrated on the 21 LED light and each LED is dimmer. Anyway, I wont return it, and the unit works fine. The 9 LED version is much more powerful and costs half the price, so buy two 9 LED units and put one in the drawer until you need it. I have since bought 3 more 9 LED units. They are the better option. Great little flashlight On: 2008-04-01one of the brightest little flashlights I have. Very pleased with light output. No idea yet about durability. Giant Light is great On: 2008-03-21Ive been looking for a long-lived flashlight for many years. This one does it all. I use it for my night photography and many other things. Very ruggedly built - already dropped it twice with no effect, and theres no puzzle about where the switch is - you can feel it on the end and switch it with heavy gloves on. The belt carrier makes it into a ready tool. great little flashlight On: 2008-03-02This little flashlight packs plenty of brightness in a small size at a good price. Very useful and a good value. Safety a Major Question On: 2008-02-07I wonder why this product is on the market? Returned unopened because of warning on back regarding importance of goggles and exposure to microscopic particles of chemicals and lead. Made in China which to me raises question on the validity of the size of any particles or actual exposure. I dont need the danger brought about by using the product! Cant return quickly enough. Nice little flashlight On: 2008-01-12I bought this and another flashlight as a potential gift for a person who wanted a flashlight to help see jigsaw puzzle pieces more clearly. Specifically I was looking for a clear, bright light, and for a decently broad beam. This flashlight has a great light that is brightest in the center and very gradually tapers off to a fairly well defined circle. It doesnt have a darker ring in the center or a really yellow light like a lot of other flashlights I have owned, so it illuminates what you are looking at very clearly, which I was happy about. As for the beam width, I decided to measure it for the review because that isnt information I was able to find when I wanted it. So if you hold the flashlight 12 inches above a table, it makes a circle of light that is about 7 inches in diameter. Just to make sure it would correlate, I measured it 24 inches above the floor and the main circle of light was about 14 inches in diameter. The other flashlight I ordered, a Coleman Wide Beam, had what seemed to be a much wider beam, though I never measured it, and since that was important for the intended use or the recipient, that is the one I actually gave as the gift and kept this one to use for other things. Again this flashlight is very bright, so if you are in a dark room the peripheral light illuminates much more than what is in the main circle I talked about. In our big walk in closet with the door shut, if I shine it against the back wall it illuminates everything in the closet quite well, but of course the main bright circle is on the back wall. I havent tried it outside at night so I cant comment on that. But it is lot of light for a flashlight that measures 3-3/4 inches by 1-1/2 inches. Other people have written about the other aspects of the operation so I wont do that, but everything works great on mine and Im very happy with it. Cool Blue Light On: 2008-01-01This is a great light in a small package. My kid loved it and decided to keep it. It is bright and compact, a great light to carry in backpack or camping. good value Good Product On: 2007-12-14This product constantly surprises me - its light weight, size and most of all the brilliance of the light. It is not recommended to point this in someones face; it can hurt the eyes! Very useful for mechanics to see in small cramped spaces in the engine bay, useful also for older folks with not so perfect vision. The only problem is that this "brilliance" is only for a short distance; if this product could project this powerful beam further, this product would be perfect! Very nice flashlight! On: 2007-12-13I purchased this and received it with no problems. It was actually smaller than I expected, which is good. Solid construction, nice color. Great flashlight. excellent On: 2007-12-13i love this flashlight. this is much brighter than my previous flashlight which was the maglight. this is more compact. Giant Light  On: 2007-11-29I received the product extremely fast. When I had a problem, the customer service was quick to respond and I was very satisfied with all aspects of this purchase. Perfect for my use On: 2007-11-07I purchased 5 flashlights for the kids at the lake. There is enough light to see them at distances, let them find their way easily and yet not enough to blind anyone back on the porch. With the little strap they can also hang them on the porch for use the following day. (Emphasis on can) I was also incredibly impressed with the speed of delivery. I was notified the same day I ordered, they had been shipped and they arrived in 5 days. Hide your's On: 2007-10-22I ordered three of these units, an I am very happy with them, finding that the battery life is great. The amount of lights they produce is amazing. After the first few hours, one walked to my sons car, and then another to my wifes car. I keep mine locked in my glove compartment, after being questioned about its where abouts ( many times ) They make great inspection lights, fit in a small jacket pocket. Good for the price On: 2007-09-23These are nice looking flashlights. I bought 3 of the led flashlights..2 were the 9 light and one was the 21 LED flashlight. For $2.99 AND $5.99 They are good for the price. They work well and are very bright. These are not for distance lighting though. They light up a fair area close up. One flashlight keeps losing its retaining ring...just pops off..but it pops back on easily enough. One other lost its rubber switch cover. You have to keep the ends screwed on tightly to keep the light working. Battery life is excellent. I use one nightly and its lasted for over 8 weeks without changing the batteries. (3 AAA) It fits nicely in a shirt pocket. Have dropped my 21 light led flashlight many times and it still works...all 21 lights, so its pretty rugged. I highly recommend these flashlights...but remember.. there not high quality light.. just good lights. Super BRIGHT! On: 2007-09-06So small, yet so bright. Great for sticking in your pocket or attaching to your belt, and the handy wrist string keeps you from dropping it. You will not believe how much light this little thing puts out! People actually asked me where I got it! Fantastic for camping, walking the dog... Inadequate Performance On: 2007-08-09Disappointing performance. The on/off switch malfunctioned immediately and the light would go out intermittently without warning. It would sometimes re-light if i banged it against a rock. Also, the inner retaining ring that holds the removable battery door together also broke immediately. Poor product even if it was FREE. It let me down on a rough contry camping expedition in South Dakota. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! not bad but shaky battery connections On: 2007-08-06Nice and bright. But sometimes when rotating, the lights will flicker a bit. I suspect the battery connection is not as snug as it should be. Probably an easy fix anyway. Nice product On: 2007-07-27Bought it after we lost power 3 times in 24 hours. Used it when we lost power again a few weeks later. Small, compact, but bright. I like the battery holder. Bought a few more for the kids. Great flashlight for the price On: 2007-07-02Quality aluminum with some weight. Very compact but powerful. Provides a flood of bluish white light rather than a direct spot. Ditch the supplied low end batteries for some better ones, and this makes a great light for the money. Bright LEDs On: 2007-06-27A very bright light. But it is difused, unable to focus. Still, everyone who sees it is impressed. I am pleased with the purchase. But I think a better "compact light" is the single-AAA mag light. It can be focused and fit on a key chain. This one is a bit bulky. great cheap LED On: 2007-06-07I can find nothing to discredit this little light. Im sure theres something but i just havent found it as yet. I bought two 9LEDs one 21 LED and one 28LED. I let the 28 burn in for a while to see if it would buckle, it performs well. Ive bought a lot of led flashlights since they came out cause im a flashlight junkie and all i can say is, for the $$$ u cant go wrong with these. They definitely deliver. Never gonna pay top dollar for a flashlight again. Thanks china :) Bright light in such a small package On: 2007-04-10excellant flash light for the price I ordered 2 and very happy with the product and the brightness of light wow. Alot of Light in the Palm of Your Hand On: 2007-03-27Knowing not all LEDs are created the same and a little suspicious of the great price on this little model, I didnt know what to expect when I ordered three of these flashlights. I wasnt disappointed at all. The unit, even with the three included AAA batteries, is surpisingly light due to its aluminum body. It has a sturdy O-ring in the cap to prevent water damage (though I havent tested that yet). This little light is far brighter than the old Mag-Lite Id been using. It has a clear, strong beam of bright white light. Its so compact that I got one for each of our cars and another to hang in the hall closet. A handy carrying case is included and the flashlight has a lanyard. At the price, I dont think you can beat it. |
