Imagine semi-transparent stuffsacks, water-resistant, that, when empty, compress down to a 2"x2" cube no matter how big the sack!
Now imagine that the fabric is tougher than your old rip-stop stuff sacks and that the drawstring isnt shoe-lace but Kevlar tiny-cord (about as thick as a light bulb pull cord) with a miniature cord lock.
Ive owned a number of these for nearly two years now - my Marmot down jacket (bright orange) is easily compressed into a #2 sack and easily identified by the color showing through. My Patagonia SST Jacket and waders fit inside a #5 with room to spare.
Buy these now - they seem to be scarce. I have rip-stop stuff-sacks that date back to 1970 - albeit that all waterproofing has long since pealed and Ive re-waterproofed them several times - but in the two years Ive used the Air Bags Ive seen no appreciable signs of wear - despite a number of serious canoe trips, fly fishing expeditions and the odd day-hike.
Great product! (I wouldnt store things with points or sharp edges in them - my stove(s) and crampons stay in their old bags).
