I bought this as a gift for my family and we enjoyed rolling it around the living room in December. The dog loved chasing it as much as we loved eating the ice cream. It makes enough ice cream for our family of eight to have sundaes.

It does make delicious soft icecream. While the book suggests that you can substitute ingredents, do be sure to allow yourself closer to an hour if you are not using the recommended ingredients. We used kosher salt in lieu of rock salt and had to repeat the drain and mix procedure a few extra times. It would also be helpful to chop ice down in advance, especially if you have an icemaker where the cubes often freeze together. Quality product and wonderful results.

These Mega Ice Cream Maker Balls are the perfect gift for any occasion. I always send a few to my cousins and friends back east for Christmas. Its a great way to get everybody to interact together over the holidays, instead of just eating and watching TV. The ice cream comes out soft and delicious. We also add Chocolate Fudge Fountain Flavoring, 1.7 oz. to please everyones palette.
