I researched buying a backpack for about 3 weeks until buying the High Sierra Appalachian 75. It has all the same options and quality of packs 2 and 3 times the price. It has great capacity as well has strong material. Pockets everywhere. The Drop down Sleeping bag compartment is very large even for a not so compact sleeping bag. The waist belts are so large and so padded that the pack weight really sets on your hips like it is supposed to making the pack feel lighter than it is. The reinforced bottom is nice when setting the pack on the ground. In all this is a great pack. I am very satisfied and are getting ready to buy my wife a High Sierra pack also.
