On: 2008-02-29I tried this type of fire starter and Im just not impressed. You need a good knife to make shavings with, and then if you arent careful you need to sharpen the knife. The sparking rod on the top doesnt really give you a shower of sparks either. Once you get your shavings lit it does ok, but its more work than its worth. Id look into the Swedish FireSteel instead. Much better product, more sparks and no knife required. |
