My wife and I bought his and hers versions of the Burton Wheelie Sub rolling luggage for our ski trips, diving trips, hiking trips, business trips... you get the picture. She got the desert camo version, I took the black one.
The "clam shell" layout and internal pocket system is fantastic and holds a ton of gear in place. The bags are mostly durable, but after two years of being stuffed to the 50lb airline limit, the baggage handlers finally found the bags "Achilles Wheel". My wifes desert camo bag was spit out of the baggage claim missing a wheel: with one wheel missing, these bags are a bear to handle.
The wheel system appears as beefy as the rest of the bag, but I guess if you (or every baggage handler on Earth) drop the full weight of the bag on the wheels enough, theyre going to break off. Too bad, because otherwise, its an excellent travel bag. On: 2007-07-13
the spots are more of a khaki/green not white. I like it better though, airports+white=disaster.
