Its comfortable as long as you are okay with the battery in the back, but then it is more evenly weighted anyway. The six different light settings work for any condition, for making campfood, reading a book, drinking some beers, or walking down the trail and spotting the next turn 30 yards away. So far I havent had to change the batteries so it seems fairly efficient. I would buy it again. Best gift for husband ever!!!!!!  On: 2008-01-14Received the day after ordering!!!!
