Mens shoes always are built better, have better arch support and will far out last womens shoes. So to find one that is pink and yellow in a Mens shoe MY size and on sale. I jumped on it. Still breaking them in but they are also wider than the average womans shoe so that helped as well. In the snow that we have lately, NOW I have traction. Peakbagging perfection  On: 2008-01-30I bought these to replace my Garmont sticky weekend approach shoes/makalu/kaukulator quiver of High Sierra boots. I wanted a boot that was light, hikable AND climbable that was crampon compatible and was suited to spring and summer Sierra Peak scrambles / mountaineering. The Vetta is the tailor made boot. It took about 2 wearings until broken in and I have been quite pleased with their performance in the climbing gym, these boots are great up to 5.10a in the gym, good sensitivity and excellent edging, they smear pretty good too. Im looking forward to getting these things on the rock at Donner and the Leap, and Yosemite. This boot is comfy - no hotspots, pressure points and to the toe lacing gives climbing shoe performance. This is a boot that will allow you to Hike in, crampon up, climb moderate 5th class with ease and get you home again - in 1 pair of boots.... SWEET! My Grivel G-12 crampons are a perfect fit for these boots. Im loving this design and will likely buy a spare pair for when I wear out my first pair, which judging from my Sticky weekends will be near 10 yr durability. I have a foot that is perfectly fitted by Garmont lasts these boots have yet to disappoint. Solid Kicks On: 2008-01-29Very solid, comfortable and versatile boots. Once they broke in, theyve been exceptional. Soles have good grip, construction is flawless, low-rise design makes them comfortable for long distances and they look great too. |
