 Thermarest Compressible Pillow By: Therm-A-Rest Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 4 More Information Just the BEST  On: 2008-08-09The Thermarest Compressible Pillow is awesome! I bought the small size so it rolls into a package that measures about 11" x 4" (it rolls into itself). Once unrolled, it takes only a few minutes to fluff up into a soft, very comfy pillow. The compression-to-fluffed ratio is amazing. Im not sure how Thermarest does it. I took this pillow on my travels in Mexico this summer and used on buses and planes. Its small enough to put into my carry-on backpack along with my travel blanket, which saved me from overly cold air conditioning on several occasions (I bought the Cocoon Coolmax Travel Blanket and recommend it too). The pillow is also comfortable enough to use as my main pillow in the hotels were I stayed. One last added bonus, the meadow green floral print is super cute. I am very pleased with this product. A Great Little Pillow! On: 2008-07-25What a great small-sized pillow! I use this for my (long!) morning train ride, and it rolls up small enough to fit into my briefcase when I get to work. The cover is soft, and the foam decompresses fairly quickly. It is actually comfortable enough that I am sometimes in danger of sleeping past my stop. Now, if only I could find ear plugs that really stopped the surrounding cell phone noise .... :-) A Great In-Flight Pillow!  On: 2008-04-11I am now visiting England for two weeks and bought this pillow just before my long trip from California. I am not a big fan of airline pillows, but I do like to have a pillow to place in the window of the plane so I can lean against it and sleep during flights. This pillow does not need to be inflated, and it fits nicely at the bottom of an inflight carry-on bag. It rolls up quite small which is ideal, but comes out a decent size. It is very comfortable and I like the fact that it doesnt need to be inflated. I just "puff" it up a bit with my hands and it expands nicely. I slept on all three flights to England and was very comfortable. I also felt safer, not using a pillow previousy used by other passengers (who might have been sick. There were plenty of sick passengers around me, coughing and sneezing), and I fell into a peaceful, restful sleep in my window seats. Perfect! When I return home from England, I will be glad to know that I have this pillow with me! Backpack Pillow On: 2008-03-10I own two of these Thermarest Compressible Pillows. I take the small pillow backpacking. No more smelly rolled up pants etc. for a pillow. I have a Medium pillow which I take car camping. They both loft up wonderfully if you unroll them as soon as you get to your destination. If towards morning you want more loft, just flip it and drift back to sleep. It is by far the very best backpack pillow I have ever tried! I have hiked 600+ miles on the AT. |
