![]() Optimus Terra Solo 0.6L Pot By: Optimus Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 5 More Information Small and light This will be perfect for solo/dual camping or hiking or even survival situations. Mine had green handles as apposed to the black handles pictured, but that was the only difference. The lid doesnt fit perfectly when the handle for it is locked in place, but you can fold it out a bit so the rubber doesnt melt. Definitely on the smaller side, but that is what I wanted. Get a trangia stove and youre all set. Optimus Terra Solo Its a great little kit if youre going solo. Really lightweight, and you can beat the hell out of it without denting it. One thing to know, however, is that the standard isobutane/propane canisters dont fit inside the pots. But, I just found other crap to throw in them so its not that big a deal. Great pots! Compact. Light. Strong. Perfect. This is a great little piece of cookware to bring on solo trips. I recently bought this for a 4 day hike. You can place utensils along with other items, like salt/pepper, seasonings for your food later, tucked inside. Its very strong and durable. I had crammed it in my backpack and had fallen backwards at one point on a rocky surface. No dents! You can use the lid as a pan for cooking as well. It was also very light weight. Definitely will bring this to all my short trips. optimal optimus The Optimus Terra Solo is a quality piece of light weight hiking kit.It is constructed in such a way that it allows for a small gas cylinder & micro stove to be stacked within the stacked pots.A useful net & draw cord bag neatly holds everything in place for easy storage. The rubber heat resistant pot handles fold neatly around the pots to make for a small & neat cooking set for solo hikers. The main pot is of a size to heat or cook a decent quantity of food for the solo traveler. The smaller lid pot is ideal for heating enough water for a hot drink. This is a highly recommended cookset, with a very resonable price tag. Great Cookset I have used this cook set twice since I bought it. Once on a hiking trip a few weeks ago, and the night before last I used it on a short, solo hiking/camping trip in the mountains. For one person, you cant beat it. I am not a fan of the alcohol burners quite yet, but this cook set has worked great with Sterno and Magic Heat. I used it so far to heat coffee, heat can goods, and boil water for sanitation and good ole oatmeal. Its a heck of a lot cheaper than titanium cook sets and it works fine. I can fit two cans of fuel along with my Magic Heat stove and a aluminum foil wind barrier inside the closed cook set. All of this fits inside the mesh bag that comes with the stove quite nicely. Plus theres room for a couple of lighters as well. It is very compact and takes up hardly any space at all in my pack, which is something that is much needed. Overall, for one person, this is a great lightweight cook set. |
