Product Description: This First Need Deluxe water filter replacement cartridge has a 0.1 micron carbon matrix filter element which cranks out a rapid 1.8 liters per minute. The First Need by General Ecology has the finest filter among the water purifiers we sell and it also offers the fastest pump rate. One customer tested his out on a pot of coffee and found he had a cup of fresh water on the other end (we recommend using the clearest water possible but its a good story!). Reviews It keeps me healthy  by: on: 27-Sep 2009 I purchase a replacement filter to take with me for a wilderness camping using canoe. We were out for four days and not one of us came down with the runs. We each took turn pumping the filter as it became hard to pump after a while. This is one of the few filter that filters everything including virus. First Need XL Replacement Cartridge  by: on: 22-May 2009 Much better then the original cartridge I bought a few years ago. Has different threads to match smaller and larger water bottles. First Need Replacement Canister by: on: 05-Apr 2008 We received quick shipping of our two canisters. They are the newer model, unlike the picture, which is the original canister like we had. The canister fits just like the old one. It does not have the cover on the bottom like the old one, only a little white piece to cover the water outlet only.
