In addition, when lit, the matches don't leave an acrid odor. I used them at my wedding and stamped them with a standard ink pad. The ink didn't smudge and it looked great. I thought the matchbox looked nicer than a matchbook. Very easy! Just what we were looking for  by: on: 20-Nov 2009 We purchased 250 of these matchboxes to use for our wedding. It wasn't easy finding a place that sells plain white matchboxes that aren't meant to be personalized or that aren't sold in bulk (2,500+). They shipped quickly and were packaged nicely. The boxes are constructed well and the matches seem sturdy and strike easily. One complaint we have is that the amount of matches in the box appears to be skimpy. The discription says 18 matches for each box, but there appears to only be 15. Not a big deal, but IMO a box of this standard size should hold at least 20 matches. Overall we are very pleased and would purchase these matcheboxes again. They really are white by: on: 24-Aug 2008 I bought these for my daughter's wedding for the tables, for the votives, and then forgot to use them! As she did not want them monogrammed, they can be used for another occasion. My main hesitation before buying them was that they looked off-white in the picture, but they are truly white and the matches seem sturdy.
